CM Mohan Yadav has stated that a positive sports culture for badminton is emerging in Ujjain. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 58th Madhya Pradesh State Junior Badminton Championship 2025 (G.H. Raisoni Memorial), held at Nanakheda Stadium, he shared that the stadium has already been developed for Rs. 11.45 crore. Further development has been approved, with Rs. 50 crore sanctioned for the installation of AstroTurf and the construction of a pavilion. A synthetic track will also be built, enabling the stadium to host national and international-level sporting events.
CM Mohan Yadav also informed that under the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparv 2028, 1,000 acres of land have already been allotted in Vikram Udyogpuri for setting up industries. An additional 1,000 acres will be allocated in the future. He asserted, “Ujjain will no longer lag in matters of development”. CM Dr. Yadav was welcomed and honoured by the District Badminton Association President of Ujjain, Shri Vaibhav Yadav, with a shawl and Shreefal and association members presented a memento during the ceremony.

The list of winners included Mixed Doubles U-17: Kanhaiya Sharma & Kritika Pathak, Mixed Doubles U-19: Om Patel & Kirti Tiwari, Boys Singles U-17: Medansh Sharma, Boys Singles U-19: Naivedya Tonde, Girls Singles U-17: Nitya Jadoun, Boys Doubles U-19: Dev Kumawat & Angad Muchhal, Girls Doubles U-19: Aastha Sharma & Kirti Tiwari, Girls Singles U-19: Mahi Pawar, Boys Doubles U-17: Shaurya Mishra & Atharv Saxena and Girls Doubles U-17: Nitya Jadoun & Navika Somani.
It was announced during the program that the U-19 winners from Ujjain have qualified for the West Zone Championship in Goa, where they will represent Madhya Pradesh. A vote of thanks was delivered by Association Secretary Shri Anurag Sharma.
