CM Mohan Yadav expressed that being born in Bharat’s Sanatan culture is a profound blessing. He conveyed deep gratitude for receiving the blessings of saints and Gaumata on his birthday at the state’s largest cow sanctuary, emphasizing that such traditions preserve cultural values while inspiring progress.
During his visit to Salaria, CM Mohan Yadav offered 6,100 pure ghee laddoos to Gaumatas as a sacred gesture. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹58.93 crore. Additionally, he distributed ₹6.12 crore in bank loans to 186 self-help groups. The Chief Minister performed ‘Kanya Pujan’ and presented gifts to young girls. He also toured an exhibition showcasing various welfare schemes.
Promoting Cow Welfare and Rural Development
On his birthday, CM Mohan Yadav participated in the concluding ceremony of the ‘Vedlakshana Maha-Mahotsav’ and the Gaumata discourse at the Salaria Cow Sanctuary in Susner. He performed a Vedic Yajna and Havan, underscoring the belief that 33 crore deities reside in Gaumata. He stated that those who rear cows are ‘Gopal,’ and homes with cows are ‘Gokul.’ His vision includes transforming villages into ‘Vrindavan’ by encouraging cow rearing and fostering harmony in rural communities.
He announced that the government is actively promoting cow rearing by doubling the grant for cow shelters from ₹20 to ₹40 per cow. Individuals maintaining more than ten cows will also receive government assistance. Dairy farmers will get a ₹5 bonus per liter of milk to enhance dairy production. Currently, Madhya Pradesh contributes 9% of India’s milk production, and with support from the National Dairy Development Board, efforts are being made to raise this to 20%, making the state a dairy industry leader. Large gaushalas with a capacity of 10,000 cattle will be established in key municipal corporations.
Commitment to Development and Economic Growth
CM Mohan Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s progress under his guidance. The government remains committed to the ‘Knowledge First’ vision and is implementing projects in mission mode. Efforts are underway to ensure irrigation water reaches every farmer’s land, with projects like the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) link set to enhance agricultural productivity. He assured that the Simhastha-2028 festival in Ujjain will be a grand and historic event.
Discussing industrial development, CM Mohan Yadav mentioned the successful organization of the Regional Industries Conclave (RIC) and the first Global Investors Summit (GIS) in the state capital. These initiatives have laid the foundation for regional economic growth and created employment opportunities for the youth. The state has received investment proposals worth ₹30.77 lakh crore. He reiterated his dedication to the comprehensive development of the Agar-Malwa district, aiming to position it among the top districts in the state. Additionally, plans are in place to bring water from the Kundalia Dam to the Salaria Cow Sanctuary.
Environmental Conservation Efforts
As part of his birthday celebrations,CM Mohan Yadav planted an Amla sapling at the Salaria Cow Sanctuary to promote environmental conservation. He encouraged citizens to plant and nurture trees on significant occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. Alongside the Chief Minister, 1,008 saplings were planted within the sanctuary premises.
