CM Mohan Yadav said that the Cabinet meeting will be held on May 20 at Rajwada in Indore, in memory of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. The meeting will also honor Maharaj Malhar Rao Holkar, the founder of the Holkar Empire. Dr. Yadav noted that May 20 marks the conclusion of the 300th birth anniversary year of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar and, coincidentally, also falls on her marriage anniversary—a moment of historic significance.The meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, began with the recitation of Vande Mataram at the Secretariat. Prior to the official proceedings, Dr. Yadav addressed the ministers, highlighting the importance of the occasion.
CM Mohan Yadav said that efforts are underway to present a proposal for the formation of the District Development Advisory Committee in the upcoming cabinet meeting. He noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has emphasized broadening public participation in development by involving one lakh individuals from diverse fields. The envisioned District Development Committee is a step in this direction.This committee, to be chaired by the Chief Minister, will have the local in-charge minister as its Vice-President. It will include key public representatives such as the District Panchayat President, MLAs, MPs, Janpad Presidents, Mayors, and Municipal Council Presidents. Additionally, experts from over 20 fields—including medicine, law, engineering, social service, agriculture, horticulture, dairy, and industry—will be part of the committee. Their inclusion aims to ensure that their domain expertise directly contributes to district development and that they actively participate in implementing the Amrit Kaal agenda through to the year @2047.
CM Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the approval of the PM MITRA Park in Dhar, stating that the Central Government has sanctioned ₹2,062 crore for the project. He shared that the state government has already received investment proposals worth ₹10,000 crore related to the park. Dr. Yadav highlighted that it is a matter of great fortune for Dhar district, as development activities will now expand beyond Pithampur to areas like Ghata Billaud. The PM MITRA Park is expected to generate employment for nearly three lakh people and will play a key role in revitalizing cotton production across the Malwa-Nimar region, including districts like Dhar and Jhabua.
CM Mohan Yadav said that Shri Manohar Singh, who heroically saved the lives of four people during the recent accident in Mandsaur at the cost of his own life, will be honored posthumously by the state government. He announced that a member of his family will be provided with a government job in recognition of his bravery and sacrifice.Dr. Yadav further informed that the Environment Department has been instructed to issue an advisory to ensure adequate safety measures in gas-operated vehicles. Additionally, he shared details with cabinet colleagues regarding the disbursement of the next installment of dearness allowance for government employees.
