CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that students from the Scheduled Caste community should not face any difficulties in hostels and instructed officials to ensure optimal facilities. He highlighted the need for a conducive environment that enables students to focus on their studies. Effective time management should be implemented to help students concentrate solely on academics after joining the hostels. CM Mohan Yadav made these remarks during a review meeting of the Tribal Welfare Department at Samatva Bhawan (Chief Minister’s residence) on Thursday. He assessed the progress of ongoing schemes under the department and discussed future plans and budget allocations for the upcoming financial year.

CM Mohan Yadav stressed that all welfare schemes for the SC community must be effectively implemented to maximize benefits for underprivileged sections of society.

Establishment of Law Faculty at Dr. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Mhow

During a Cabinet meeting in Maheshwar on January 24, CM Mohan Yadav approved Rs. 25 crore for setting up a Law Faculty at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Mhow. He directed that all necessary arrangements be completed on schedule for the faculty’s commencement. The Principal Secretary reported that the Tribal Welfare Department has allocated Rs. 6.4 crore to the university for the financial year 2024-25.

Emphasis on Academic Development

Principal Secretary for Scheduled Caste Welfare, Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar, stated that various initiatives, including hostel facilities, scholarship programs, education promotion schemes, grants, and self-employment schemes, are being implemented to support the academic advancement of Scheduled Caste students. Additionally, the effective enforcement of the Prevention of Atrocities Act remains a key priority for the department.

The meeting was attended by Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Shri Nagar Singh Chouhan, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister’s Office) Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary (Finance) Shri Manish Rastogi, Principal Secretary (Scheduled Caste Welfare) Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar, and other senior officials.
