CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh, often referred to as the heart of India, stands among the nation’s top tourist destinations due to its breathtaking natural landscapes, rich historical legacy, and cultural vibrancy. With its dense forests, rare wildlife, ancient forts, and sacred temples, the state draws millions of visitors each year. He noted that strategic government policies have significantly boosted investment in the tourism sector, resulting in substantial economic growth and job creation.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh has carved out a unique identity in India’s tourism sector, with recognition on the global stage. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged that an international publication ranked Madhya Pradesh among the world’s finest travel destinations. The state government’s initiatives are not only safeguarding its cultural and natural treasures but also positioning Madhya Pradesh as a prominent global tourism hub.
Boasting 24 wildlife sanctuaries, 12 national parks, 9 tiger reserves, and 14 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Madhya Pradesh ranks as one of India’s most ecologically diverse states. Additionally, the revered Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas serve as major spiritual centers for devotees.
Advancing Tourism Infrastructure
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the government’s commitment to advancing tourism by making 758 hectares of land available for tourism projects, with 358 hectares already allocated to 39 investors. This has paved the way for new hotels, resorts, golf courses, and modern facilities, further enhancing the tourism experience.
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s newly implemented Tourism Policy 2025 and Film Tourism Policy 2025 have created lucrative investment opportunities. These policies have attracted proposals worth ₹3,372 crore, generating employment for over 50,500 people.
A Thriving Hub for Film Production
With its diverse landscapes and historical settings, Madhya Pradesh has become a preferred destination for film shoots. Over 185 films and 40 other projects have already been filmed in the state. CM Mohan Yadav expressed confidence that government incentives and special facilities will continue to promote film tourism, drawing more filmmakers. He also noted that places like Chanderi, Gwalior, and Bhopal have gained increased tourist attention due to their cinematic appeal.
Expanding Investments and Job Opportunities
To further accelerate growth, the state government has identified over 1,000 hectares of land for tourism-related projects, which will drive new investments and generate large-scale employment opportunities.
