CM Mohan Yadav : While addressing the Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi emphasized that the Textile, Tourism, and Technology (3T) sectors will be key drivers of the nation’s progress. He noted that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly evolving beyond its traditional industrial image, emerging as a dynamic hub for technology and innovation. For the first time, an IT and Technology Summit was held as part of GIS, marking a major step toward the state’s digital transformation. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav described the event as a landmark moment in shaping Madhya Pradesh’s digital future and strengthening its position as a growing technology hub.
The IT sector attracted investment proposals exceeding ₹64,000 crore, expected to generate over 1.8 lakh jobs, with youth playing a significant role. Leading tech firms such as Digital Convergence Technologies, Tholons, Alcina, Sritech, Kens Technology, and Beyond Studios have invested in the state. Additionally, global technology giants like IBM, Microsoft, and Barclays have shown interest in Madhya Pradesh, signing MoUs to enhance the state’s technological infrastructure, skill development, and innovation ecosystem.
To maximize GIS Bhopal’s impact, six departmental summits were organized, along with four special sessions tailored for entrepreneurs and start-ups. These sessions facilitated direct engagement between industry leaders and the Department of Information and Technology, fostering discussions on policies and new investment prospects. The summit also explored key emerging sectors, including Electronics System Design and Manufacturing, Global Capability Centers, Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, Extended Reality, Semiconductor, and Drone Technology. Strategies were discussed to position Madhya Pradesh as a leader in these high-growth industries, with significant efforts being made to promote semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, as well as advancements in drone technology.
As part of GIS Bhopal, the state introduced a new Science and Technology policy to create a business-friendly environment for IT investments. Policies such as the Madhya Pradesh Animation, VR, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality Policy-2025, GCC Policy-2025, Semiconductor Policy-2025, and Drone Promotion and Use Policy-2025 were launched. These initiatives offer financial and non-financial incentives to attract investments in IT and emerging technologies. Designed with a future-oriented vision, these policies received strong appreciation from industry experts.
CM Mohan Yadav also announced new skill development programs to equip youth with expertise in advanced IT fields, including artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, blockchain, and cloud computing. GIS Bhopal not only served as a platform for attracting investments but also as a forum for policy discussions and strategic planning. With a commitment to advancing both Madhya Pradesh and India, the IT sector is set to play a crucial role in driving innovation, investment, and employment opportunities in the state.
