CM Mohan Yadav stated that the state government will leave no stone unturned in ensuring dignity, respect, and rightful entitlements for mothers, sisters, and daughters. To make Ladli sisters self-reliant and to provide them with security, respect, pride, and prosperity, the government is celebrating Raksha Bandhan every month by depositing financial assistance directly into their accounts. He announced that on the upcoming occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the amount given to Ladli sisters will be increased by Rs.250 so that they may celebrate the festival with joy.
CM Mohan Yadav was addressing the State-Level Ladli Behna and Women’s Convention held in Belkheda village of Jabalpur district. On this occasion, he transferred over Rs.2,081 crore through a single click to beneficiaries of Ladli Behna and other welfare schemes.
CM Mohan Yadav reaffirmed his government’s commitment to transitioning from legacy to development. He highlighted that Jabalpur is the land of brave queens like Rani Durgavati and Rani Avantibai, and the state government is running several schemes named after such valiant women, benefiting lakhs of women across Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Yadav reiterated that empowering mothers and sisters to be self-reliant is the government’s mission. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, women in Madhya Pradesh and across India are becoming economically empowered.
CM Mohan Yadav transferred the 25th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana — totaling Rs. 1,551.44 crore — to the accounts of 1.27 crore Ladli sisters. Under this scheme, every beneficiary woman receives Rs. 1,250 per month. He noted that the government disburses approximately Rs. 1,550 crore every month under this scheme, and in the past one and a half years, over Rs. 30,000 crore has been provided to beneficiaries.
The CM also transferred Rs. 341 crore to 56.68 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme, Rs. 39.14 crore to 27 lakh women as LPG refilling subsidy under PM Ujjwala Yojana and Rs. 150 crore to 6,821 labourer families as ex gratia under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana — all through a single-click transfer.
Additionally, he inaugurated and peromed Bhoomi-Pujans for eight development works worth Rs. 22.44 crore and distributed benefits of various public welfare schemes.
Chief Minister’s Announcements
On the request of Bargi MLA Shri Neeraj Singh, CM Dr. Yadav announced the opening of a government college in Belkheda and the construction of a sub-divisional revenue office and staff quarters in Shahpura, along with the posting of an SDOP in Shahpura.
“A Life Blessed by the Blessings of Sisters”
Dr. Yadav stated that life becomes truly blessed with the blessings of sisters. While a brother brings glory to his own home, sisters bring pride to both their parental and in-laws’ homes. He praised the divine-like role of women in nurturing families and raising children. Reflecting on India’s cultural heritage, he emphasized traditions like marriage rituals solemnized with vows of seven lifetimes.
Housing for All
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the government’s commitment to providing pucca houses for all, including those in rural, hilly, and urban areas, under PM Awas Yojana. He praised PM Modi’s Ujjwala Yojana for freeing women from smoke-related health hazards. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, piped water is now reaching every household, relieving mothers and sisters from fetching water from wells and distant sources. He also mentioned schemes like PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, noting that daughters are now being given equal opportunities in the armed forces.
Free Rations for the Poor
CM Mohan Yadav announced Rs. 5,000 financial assistance for women running businesses like ready-made garments. He also informed about the Rs. 1,000 bonus per quintal now being provided for the purchase of millets like kodo-kutki. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, free food grains are being distributed to 1.33 crore families, and the government is also bearing the expenses for children’s education. He announced that meritorious students will receive scooters and laptops next month. CM Dr. Yadav spoke of ‘Ganga’, a Ladli Behna from Indore, who is now living a better life by using the scheme amount to run a sewing machine and grocery shop Mentioning her success story. Similarly, he mentioned ‘Sita’, who has improved her livelihood through goat rearing. He welcomed Ladli Behna participants at the convention with flower showers and paid tribute to the victims of the recent tragic air crash in Ahmedabad.
MP Shri Ashish Dubey remarked that under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Dr. Yadav, the empowerment of women continues to strengthen. Madhya Pradesh is reaching new heights under CM Yadav’s leadership, who is working tirelessly to achieve PM Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. MLA Shri Neeraj Singh, in his welcome speech, highlighted local development works.
Tribal Welcome and Cultural Honour
CM Mohan Yadav was warmly welcomed by tribal folk dancers with traditional instruments upon arriving at the venue. He also played the dhol with the performers. CM Yadav was honoured with a traditional turban, and a Kamdhenu cow idol was presented to him. He inaugurated the convention by worshipping girls and lighting a ceremonial lamp.
