CM Mohan Yadav watched the film Chhava today, which portrays the life and struggles of 17th-century ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film has been granted tax-free status by the Madhya Pradesh government.
A special screening was organized at the open theatre in the Ashoka Lake View complex, attended by CM Mohan Yadav, Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Devda, cabinet ministers, and other public representatives, who lauded the film.
Describing Chhava as an inspiring film with a powerful patriotic message, CM Mohan Yadav stated that the Madhya Pradesh government will support films with historical themes that highlight India’s rich heritage. He emphasized the state’s commitment to promoting cinema that showcases the struggles and sacrifices of India’s great rulers and patriots.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that just as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a symbol of bravery, his son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was equally valiant, dedicating his life to the nation. He praised the film for vividly bringing history to life on screen and congratulated the filmmakers, director, and cast for their remarkable efforts.
Reflecting on the current global scenario, CM Mohan Yadav remarked that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is advancing while preserving its cultural heritage. He expressed his delight in watching the film with public representatives and, on the occasion, recited a poetic tribute to the courage of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
