Speaking at the inauguration of Vikramotsav-2025 in Ujjain, he highlighted Vikramaditya’s contributions to governance, justice, and administration, including his victories over foreign invaders and the establishment of Vikram Samvat.

CM Mohan Yadav noted that Indians have followed Vikram Samvat for over 2081 years, a testament to Vikramaditya’s enduring influence. He praised the emperor’s advisory council, which included renowned scholars like Kalidas and Varahamihir, and his contributions to temple restoration. The Chief Minister drew parallels between Vikramaditya’s governance principles and Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives, such as Shri Mahakal Mahalok, the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, and the Ram temple construction.

Discussing Simhastha-2028, CM Mohan Yadav announced large-scale preparations, including a ₹500 crore allocation for infrastructure, ensuring a sacred dip in the Shipra River through projects like the Sevarkhedi-Silarkhedi Reservoir and the Kanh Close Duct for water purification. Other developments include the newly inaugurated Ashok Bridge, a 29-km stretch of ghats along the Shipra, and plans for a metro link between Indore and Ujjain.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat paid tribute to Ujjain’s spiritual and cultural significance, lauding the successful Global Investor Summit-2025. Dr. Yadav also honored Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Shri M.K. Modi, who expressed deep admiration for India’s cultural heritage.
