CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh offers a highly supportive environment for industrial investment. To harness regional resources and potential, industry conclaves will be organized in 10 different districts, including Katni. Recognizing Katni’s vast opportunities for industrial expansion, particularly in minerals, mining, and food processing, a dedicated industry conclave focusing on these sectors will soon be held in the district.
CM Mohan Yadav shared these insights on Sunday while engaging with industrialists on the industrial development of Katni. The discussion was attended by Shahdol MP Smt. Himadri Singh, Murwara MLA Shri Sandeep Shriprasad Jaiswal, Bahoriband MLA Shri Pranay Prabhat Pandey, Barwara MLA Shri Dhirendra Bahadur Singh, Mayor Smt. Preeti Suri, District Panchayat President Smt. Sunita Mehra, and Shri Deepak Tandon.
2025: The Year of Industry and Employment
Announcing 2025 as the ‘Year of Industry and Employment,’ CM Mohan Yadav stated that the government will work diligently to accelerate industrial growth across the state. As part of this mission, industry conclaves will be held in 10 strategic locations, each focusing on sector-specific opportunities.
The initiative will begin in Indore with a conclave dedicated to IT, semiconductors, and AI, followed by another in Ujjain, emphasizing religious tourism and food processing. Subsequent conclaves will be conducted in other districts, aligning with their industrial strengths.
Katni’s Potential in Industrial Growth
CM Mohan Yadav underscored Katni’s significant potential in mining, minerals, food processing, lime, and marble industries. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering industrial expansion in collaboration with various stakeholders. With Madhya Pradesh’s favorable investment climate and diverse economic opportunities, the state is poised for a new phase of industrial development.
During the interaction with industrialists,CM Mohan Yadav instructed Jabalpur Division Commissioner Shri Abhay Verma and Katni Collector Shri Dilip Kumar Yadav to ensure that all 18 government policies and benefits related to industrial establishment are effectively communicated to investors.
Symbolic Gestures and Industry Participation
The session commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and floral offerings before the image of Goddess Saraswati. Industrial representatives welcomed CM Mohan Yadav with flower bouquets, while the district administration honored him with a handcrafted replica of the Ashoka Pillar, made from Katni sandstone under the ‘One District, One Product’ scheme. Additionally, industrialists presented him with an idol of Lord Pind Ganesh.
The event saw the participation of District Panchayat Vice President Shri Ashok Vishwakarma and industrialists, including Shri Pawan Mittal, Shri Arvind Gugalya, and Shri Arun Kumar Soni (General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati), along with key stakeholders from sectors such as mining & minerals, health, education, dal & rice mills, and the hospitality industry.
