CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that Indian culture, guided by the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’—the belief that the entire world is one family—shapes the state government’s approach to inclusive development and welfare under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
He explained that liquor prohibition has been enforced to protect the sanctity of family life and ensure that families spend their earnings wisely. Additionally, to preserve the spiritual essence of sacred places, alcohol has been banned in 19 religious towns across the state.
Speaking at a civic felicitation event in Datia—home to Goddess Pitambara—CM Mohan Yadav expressed gratitude for the public’s support of the prohibition move. Citizens and public representatives lauded the Chief Minister’s decision, viewing it as a step towards moral and social upliftment.
CM Mohan Yadav announced plans to develop all towns graced by the presence of the Goddess into ‘Devi Lok’ (divine realms), while regions associated with Lord Ram are being revitalized under the Shri Ram Van Path Gaman Marg initiative. The budget also allocates funds to develop locations tied to Lord Krishna’s divine pastimes into major pilgrimage sites.
CM Mohan Yadav reaffirmed the government’s commitment to Sanatan Dharma values, such as “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah” (May all be happy, may all be free of disease), and reiterated that the welfare of farmers remains a top priority in Madhya Pradesh’s agrarian economy. He highlighted the procurement of wheat at ₹2,600 per quintal to ensure fair compensation for farmers.
CM Mohan Yadav spoke about transformative infrastructure projects supported by Prime Minister Modi—like the Ken-Betwa link, the river interlinking, and the Tapti Mega Recharge Project—which promise prosperity for regions like Datia. He encouraged farmers not to sell their land, assuring long-term benefits from these initiatives.
CM Mohan Yadav stressed that under the “double-engine” government, people’s welfare is central. He advised citizens to avoid excessive spending on weddings and rituals, suggesting that investing in children’s education should be the priority.
CM Mohan Yadav noted ongoing efforts to ensure pucca housing for the poor and food for all. These welfare activities, he said, are steps toward realizing the vision of Ram Rajya—a just and ideal governance model.
Former Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra applauded the Chief Minister’s bold step of enforcing prohibition in Datia and other religious towns, noting its potential to curb social harm caused by alcohol. He also highlighted the government’s push to create job opportunities through national and international industrial investments.
MLA Pradeep Agrawal commended the historic decision to ban liquor in Datia, expressing the community’s gratitude for this reform in the city of Goddess Pitambara.
Earlier in the day, CM Mohan Yadav, along with Dr. Narottam Mishra and other officials, visited the shrine of Maa Pitambara in Datia and offered prayers.
