CM Mohan Yadav: launches plastic industry conference ‘Plastpack 2025’
- More than 400 companies related to plastic industry and over 2 thousand exhibitors are participating

He acknowledged the need to address the environmental side effects of plastic and outlined plans to promote reuse and waste management. The state government will proceed cautiously, involving scientists and experts to develop advanced technologies for sustainable reuse and effective waste management, ensuring balanced growth in this emerging sector.
CM Mohan Yadav was addressing the Plastpack 2025 plastic industry conference, which commenced in Indore on Thursday. The conference, running until January 12, serves as an industry fair featuring participation from over 400 companies and more than 2,000 exhibitors from the plastic industry. Organized in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), the event aims to explore growth opportunities and innovations in the sector. Prominent among those who attended the event include Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Indore Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Shri Ramesh Mendola and Shri Madhu Verma, Mayor Council member Shri Abhishek Sharma, and Chairman of the Indian Plastpack Forum Shri Sachin Bansal.

More than 400 companies related to the plastic industry and more than 2 thousand exhibitors are participating in it. This program is being organized in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC). On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Shri Ramesh Mendola and Shri Madhu Verma, Mayor-Council member Shri Abhishek Sharma and Chairman of Indian Plastpack Forum Shri Sachin Bansal etc.
CM Mohan Yadav said there immense possibilities for developing the plastic industry in Madhya Pradesh and assured full support for its growth. He noted the increasing use and importance of plastic in the changing times, highlighting its critical role during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as in PPE kits and masks, where it proved to be a lifesaver. While acknowledging the utility of plastic, Dr. Yadav also recognized its environmental side effects. He assured that efforts would be made to remove these impacts, with a focus on balancing industrial development with environmental protection.
On the industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that new momentum and direction is being given to the state’s development. To encourage industrial investment, regional investor summits have been organized, with six summits held so far, leading to an investment of Rs 4 lakh crore. This investment is expected to create employment for about three lakh people and generate Rs 200 crore revenue. Dr. Yadav mentioned that the state’s rapid development is being done on the Gujarat model. He inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp and also visited the stalls set up at the conference.
At the outset of the Plastpack 2025 conference, Shri Sachin Bansal, Chairman of the Indian Plast Pack Forum, delivered the welcome speech and provided details about the event. He shared that over 400 companies are showcasing their latest technologies, products, and innovations in this large-scale conference, organized through the joint efforts of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC). More than 2,000 exhibitors are participating, with the exhibition center divided into six domes, where live machines and products are being displayed. He emphasized that the conference serves not only as a platform for businessmen and entrepreneurs but also offers valuable insights for students, researchers, and environmentalists.
