CM Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is one of the most favorable states in the country for industrial investment, owing to its central location, skilled labor force, cooperative citizens, robust road and transport infrastructure, and simplified administrative procedures. “Gujarat is our model, and Madhya Pradesh is progressing in industrial development on similar lines,” he said.
Citing a recent example, CM Mohan Yadav mentioned swift government action following Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML)’s initiative to set up a metro and rail coach manufacturing unit in Raisen district. The government promptly allocated 60.063 hectares of land, reflecting the state’s transparent policy on industry promotion and investment facilitation. He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is part of the healthy competition encouraged by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to create an industry-friendly environment. “Prime Minister Modi has recently set an example of strong leadership by delivering a fitting response to Pakistan,” Dr. Yadav said while addressing a textile expo in Indore on Friday evening.
CM Mohan Yadav further said that Prime Minister Modi’s policies have transformed the national landscape. While pursuing economic growth, Indian culture continues to value humanity. “During the COVID-19 crisis, India played a pivotal role in saving lives across the globe,” he noted. He added that Operation Sindoor demonstrated India’s unity, technological strength, and military courage under PM Modi’s leadership.
Drawing a powerful analogy, CM Mohan Yadav said, “Factories are our temples. Just as places of worship are centers of devotion, industries too operate with a sacred intent of benefiting large sections of society.” Madhya Pradesh is running a special campaign to ensure industries benefit from the government’s favorable policies and good governance. “Those who come to invest here, make Madhya Pradesh their home,” he remarked.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted successful initiatives such as the Regional Industry Conclaves held in all divisions last year, followed by the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal in February 2025. These efforts have attracted investment proposals worth over ₹30 lakh crore. Sector-wise industrial promotion programs are now being prioritized and will continue in a phased manner.
CM Mohan Yadav said that Indore, known for its cleanliness, taste, and good governance, will play a leading role in creating a new legacy in the textile sector. The Indore Metropolitan Area, encompassing Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, and Maksi, will be developed with improved infrastructure and enhanced citizen services. Indore will emerge as one of the two major metropolitan growth centers in Madhya Pradesh.
Resolution of Inter-State Disputes
CM Mohan Yadav remarked that long-standing disputes among states over water, land, and crops are being resolved under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Madhya Pradesh, for instance, has amicably settled its disagreements with Rajasthan over the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project.
Principal Secretary for Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion, Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, stated that Madhya Pradesh has built a robust, supportive, and competitive industrial environment. The state is not only power-surplus but also sources 30% of its total electricity from green energy.
For the textile sector, special infrastructure has been developed, including abundant water supply, SCADA-controlled utilities, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) enabled Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP), a 220 kV substation, and a 20 MLD water supply system.
The PM MITRA Park in Dhar is progressing to become the country’s most cost-efficient and high-return
integrated textile park, with 100% of the required land already acquired. Shri Singh added that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in India with four operational industrial corridors and one proposed, six Inland Container Depots (ICDs), and national-level institutions like NIFT Bhopal, NID Bhopal, IITDM Jabalpur, and the Global Skills Park, enabling a strong and modern value chain. Under the MSME Development Policy 2025, provisions have been made to support exports and boost global competitiveness. He assured investors that Madhya Pradesh offers a hassle-free environment, with all approvals provided through a dedicated single-window system within defined timelines. “Industries can be operational within 30 days here, and the textile and garments sector receives special additional incentives,” he said.
In recognition of CM Mohan Yadav ’s contributions to industry and environmental vision, Metaxyl Chairman Shri Shaleen Toshniwal presented a memento and a shawl. Additionally, a pledge to plant and maintain 25 trees in Maharashtra was also handed over.
During the seminar on “Export Potential of Man-Made Fiber Textiles, Home Textiles, and Technical Textiles from Madhya Pradesh”, Metaxyl Executive Director Shri A. Ravi Kumar outlined the organization’s journey and the roadmap for Bharat Tex 2026. Former Chairman Shri Sanjeev Saran spoke on the significance of events like Bharat Tex.
Textile industry representatives from across the country participated, viewing Madhya Pradesh as an emerging hub for investment. Business leaders like Shri Prashant Agrawal (MD, Wazir Advisors) and Shri Dheeraj Shah (Former Chairman, Metaxyl; Chairman, Fairdeal Textile Park, Surat) shared their experiences. A short film on Fairdeal Textile Park was screened. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri Sanjeev Saran.
The Textile Expo saw the presence of Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, and several legislators and industrialists.
