CM Mohan Yadav : Development work to be undertaken without hindering natural beauty and originality

CM Mohan Yadav said that the overall development plan for Chitrakoot should be formulated in an integrated manner and executed with the cooperation of all stakeholders. He acknowledged the contributions of various social organizations involved in social service and development activities in the region. Dr. Yadav suggested that these organizations should be connected with the works aimed at improving facilities for pilgrims and tourists during fairs and religious events. The Chief Minister stated this during a review meeting on Tuesday, focusing on the ongoing and proposed development initiatives for Chitrakoot.

CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the overall development of Chitrakoot is a top priority. He stressed the importance of improving the region while preserving its original form and spiritual splendour. Dr. Yadav proposed launching a campaign for water recharge, in collaboration with voluntary organizations and public participation, to ensure the cleanliness and purity of the Mandakini river. He also called for ashrams and institutions to jointly run a campaign for groundwater conservation. Additionally, the Chief Minister focused on strengthening ongoing projects in Chitrakoot to help the region and its society become self-reliant.

CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the efforts of Chitrakoot University and social welfare organizations in creating a self-reliant society. He emphasized that development work should integrate various sectors while preserving Chitrakoot’s ancient culture and traditional identity. Dr. Yadav stressed the need for cooperation in areas such as cow-sheds, cow-rearing, health, and education. He suggested exploring the possibility of a ropeway system for crowd management during the Amavasya Mela and Deepawali Mela. Additionally, he proposed the creation of a control room to manage parking during fairs. The Chief Minister also directed that road widening and strengthening projects be completed on time with high quality, and instructed that the construction of the road from Mohkamgarh to Peeli Kothi begin from both ends.

Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing, Smt. Pratima Bagri, emphasized the need to improve facilities along the Kamadgiri Parikrama route, including proper cleanliness arrangements. She also highlighted the importance of designating a well-planned area for donors.

Social worker Shri Suresh Soni noted that the significance of Chitrakoot as a holy pilgrimage site is rooted in Kamadgiri and Maa Mandakini. With the development of pilgrimage sites like Ayodhya, the influx of pilgrims has significantly increased. He suggested that Chitrakoot’s development plan should be designed with a long-term vision, considering the next 15-20 years. Shri Soni also urged that every monastery, temple, school, and social organization in Chitrakoot contribute to public enlightenment efforts.

MP Shri Ganesh Singh highlighted the development potential of Chitrakoot, Lord Shri Ram’s Tapobhoomi, emphasizing the need to preserve the natural beauty of its temples and pilgrimage sites. He suggested that important locations from the Chaurasi Kosh Parikrama should be included in Chitrakoot’s overall development plan, along with the creation of public facilities. In addition, several individuals provided valuable suggestions during the meeting, including MLA Shri Surendra Singh Gaharwar, DRI Organization Secretary Shri Abhay Mahajan, Vice Chancellor of Chitrakoot Gramodaya University Prof. Bharat Mishra, Mayor Shri Yogesh Tamrakar, former Principal of Sanskrit Vidyalaya Shridhar Tripathi, Acharya Dr. Ramnarayan Tripathi of Gayatri Shakti Peeth, Mahant Shri Sitasharan Ji Maharaj of Janaki Mahal, Shri Ramakant Tripathi, Dr. B.K. Jain of Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Vice President of DRI Shri Nikhil Prabhakar Mandale, and Basant Pandit.

In the review meeting of the ongoing and proposed works for the overall development of Chitrakoot, Additional Commissioner Urban Development and Housing Shri K.L. Meena presented the plan for the overall development of Chitrakoot prepared by Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Corporation.

Chief Minister visits Van Devi

CM Mohan Yadav visited Van Devi Temple in Chitrakoot on Tuesday and offered prayers. He inspected the construction and development work being done by the Forest Department in Van Devi Temple. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this ancient and mythological place associated with Ram Path Gaman is believed to be the Shakti Peeth of Goddess Parvati, the Shakti Swarupa. The development of Van Devi Temple has also been included in the development plan of Ram Van Gaman Path.

CM Mohan Yadav flagged off straw-reaper and super seeder machines purchased through bank linkage for 9 women self-help groups at Shriram Sanskriti Van in Chitrakoot on Tuesday.

In Satna district, as part of the ‘Garibi se Lakhpati ki Aur Badhte Kadam’ programme under the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission District Panchayat Satna, an innovative initiative has been introduced. A machine for making straw from Narwai and a super-seeder machine have been purchased for women through bank linkage to self-help groups. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also presented a bank linkage cheque of ₹4 crore 12 lakh to support 138 self-help groups, further empowering women in the region.
