CM Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been steadfastly working to strengthen the nation while upholding the ideals of Swadeshi. In today’s global scenario, his determination to make India economically strong and self-reliant serves as a powerful inspiration. The people of Madhya Pradesh fully support this vision of the Prime Minister.
In line with this objective, Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will visit Obaidullaganj in Raisen district, near Bhopal, on August 10 to attend the Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone-laying ceremony of BRAHMA (BEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing). Union Agriculture & Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present, while Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw will participate virtually.
For the first time in Madhya Pradesh, the state will manufacture railway and metro coaches for supply across India and export overseas. This ₹1,800-crore project will create over 1,500 direct and indirect jobs, positioning Madhya Pradesh prominently in the country’s railway manufacturing sector.
CM Mohan Yadav informed that 60.0630 hectares have been allotted for this ambitious facility in Umaria village, Goharganj tehsil, Raisen district. It will produce coaches for Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and metro trains, along with encouraging the growth of related small industries in Bhopal and Raisen, boosting the local economy and employment opportunities.
Patriotic Initiatives & Operation Sindoor
The CM announced that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and Tiranga Yatras will be organised across Madhya Pradesh for the fourth year in a row around Independence Day. This year’s campaign, themed around cleanliness and Swadeshi, will run from August 2–12, with mass flag-hoisting from August 13–15. As part of Operation Sindoor, rakhis will be sent to soldiers as a gesture of gratitude, and cultural events, exhibitions, and school competitions on the national flag will be held. The state aims to distribute 1 crore national flags.
Dhar as a Global Textile Hub
CM Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is moving ahead with major projects to promote Swadeshi, including developing Bhopal and Indore as metropolitan cities. The PM MITRA Textile Park in Dhar, whose Bhoomi Pujan will be led by PM Modi on August 25, will attract ₹2,000 crore investment in the garment sector and create jobs for over one lakh people, particularly from tribal areas. This project will benefit cotton farmers in Dhar, Jhabua, Ratlam, and Nimar while producing garments for global export.
Women’s Empowerment & Ladli Behna Scheme
The CM announced that each Ladli Behna will receive ₹250 as a Raksha Bandhan gift during Sawan, with a total of ₹1,500 being transferred to each beneficiary in August. Monthly payments of ₹1,500 will continue after Diwali under the scheme, reflecting the double-engine government’s commitment to women’s welfare.
Independence Day & Farmers’ Benefits
A new plan for Independence Day celebrations will include a live telecast of the main Bhopal event to all districts, where district in-charge ministers will hoist the flag and highlight welfare schemes. On August 14, Balaram Jayanti will be celebrated in Mandla with grants and benefits for farmers.
Cultural & Religious Tourism Development
Shri Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated at the state level on August 16, with events across Madhya Pradesh. The government is developing sites linked to Lord Krishna—such as Ujjain, Janapav, Amjhera, and Narayana—into major pilgrimage destinations, aiming to give them the same cultural and spiritual prominence as Gokul and Vrindavan.
