CM Mohan Yadav returned to India on February 1 after a four-day visit to Japan, where he met with investors and industrialists. During his trip, he invited them to the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Bhopal on February 24-25, where Japanese companies have shown significant interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh.

CM Mohan Yadav discussed his meetings with Japanese industrialists and government officials, which explored investment opportunities in the state. He announced the approval of the Japan-Madhya Pradesh Industrial Cooperation Forum, which will lead to the creation of a Japanese Industrial Park, Skill Development Centers, and Smart Manufacturing Hubs, alongside the establishment of a Japan Plus Cell for continuous engagement with Japanese investors.

CM Mohan Yadav also revealed that Japan will be the “Country Partner” for the Global Investors Summit, strengthening bilateral economic relations. Japanese companies are looking to invest in sectors like medical devices, automobiles, manufacturing, electronics, and textiles in Madhya Pradesh, positioning the state as an ideal destination for investment.

Dr. Yadav emphasized the state’s favorable investment environment, with excellent infrastructure, streamlined policies, and government support for industrial development. He also noted Japan’s position as India’s fifth-largest investor, with significant investments and successful companies already operating in Madhya Pradesh, including Bridgestone, Panasonic, NSK, Sano, and Komatsu.

CM Mohan Yadav also shared highlights from his meetings with Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). These discussions focused on urban development, trade, investment, and sustainable infrastructure projects. Notably, the meetings included plans for a high-speed rail corridor, smart transportation models, and green infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh, as well as the establishment of JETRO’s office in the state to facilitate Japanese investment.
