CM Mohan Yadav credited the successful hosting of the first-ever Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal to exceptional teamwork and coordination. Managing the participation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, along with numerous foreign diplomats, business representatives, and top industrial leaders, was a significant challenge. However, GIS emerged as a model of outstanding management. Dr. Yadav congratulated all departmental officials and teams for the summit’s success and reaffirmed that the state’s journey of investment and industrial expansion will continue. He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh’s strong infrastructure and investor-friendly environment have led to the rapid growth of industries. Next week, the foundation stone will be laid for the Neemuch Solar Project, which involves an investment of ₹850 crore.
CM Mohan Yadav made these remarks during a review meeting at the ministry to assess the implementation of investment proposals received at GIS. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, along with Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries from various departments.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that GIS attracted investment proposals worth ₹30.77 lakh crore, which are expected to generate approximately 21.40 lakh jobs. The summit saw the participation of over 25,000 attendees, including representatives from nine partner countries and more than 100 international delegates from over 60 nations. More than 300 leading industrialists and companies took part. The event featured 10 sectoral sessions, six country sessions, six summits, over 70 one-on-one meetings, more than 5,000 B2B meetings, and over 600 B2G meetings.
During the summit, 18 new investment policies were introduced, and 89 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, making it the most engaging GIS in the state’s history. Various pre-summit interactive sessions were held domestically and internationally to ensure its success. Action Plan for Investment Implementation
CM Mohan Yadav outlined a six-tier action plan to ensure the effective execution of investment proposals. Under this plan, MPIDC will categorize and track proposals in a database, while relevant departments will follow up on investments based on their scale at regional, headquarters, and departmental levels. Dedicated relationship managers will be appointed to oversee projects, supported by a robust monitoring and reporting system. Principal Secretaries will conduct weekly progress reviews, reporting to the Chief Secretary, with additional oversight at the Chief Ministerial level.
To streamline investment execution, government departments will coordinate land allocation, approvals, and clearances. A feedback mechanism has also been introduced to address investor concerns efficiently.
A strategic approach will be adopted to translate investment proposals into real projects. The focus will be on developing industrial hubs tailored to specific sectors. At the district level, collectors will be informed of land and water requirements to ensure availability within set timelines. To expedite industrial unit operations, plug-and-play facilities will be created. The MP Investor Portal has been upgraded, and an inter-departmental coordination cell has been set up within MPIDC.
CM Mohan Yadav also reviewed upcoming plans in sectors such as New & Renewable Energy, Mineral Resources, Urban Development, Science & Technology, Tourism, and MSME. As part of the Industry and Employment Year 2025, initiatives like sector-specific summits, skill development programs, ITI-industry collaborations, and Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) clinics will be launched. Participation in national and international events will also be prioritized.

The 1,500 MW Neemuch-Agar-Shajapur Solar Project, managed by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL)—a joint venture between Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited—is progressing steadily. The Agar Solar Park has already begun commercial production of 550 MW, while the Shajapur Solar Park has started with 155 MW.
The Neemuch Solar Park, with a total capacity of 500 MW, has 330 MW operational, and the bidding process for the remaining 170 MW has been completed.
A total of 10 companies participated in the bidding, with the e-reverse auction starting at ₹2.30 per unit and closing at ₹2.15 per unit. Waaree Future Engineers Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the successful developer.

The 1,500 MW Neemuch-Agar-Shajapur Solar Park will significantly enhance both state and national energy security while contributing to environmental conservation.
