CM Mohan Yadav has announced that the state will observe ‘Seva Parv’ (Service Festival) from September 17 to October 2, culminating on Gandhi Jayanti
CM Mohan Yadav: During this period, various activities will be organised across the state to improve citizen services and ensure their seamless delivery. The government aims to implement public welfare schemes under the banner of Seva Parv, making services easily accessible to all citizens. Districts will also conduct service-related activities during the festival.
CM Mohan Yadav emphasised that during ‘Seva Parv’, government services will be delivered responsibly to ensure that the benefits of good governance reach every citizen. He said that district administrations, elected representatives & social, political and religious organizations will actively participate in the campaign. He instructed Collectors to coordinate and organise the festival inclusively, engaging all sections of society.
The theme of the campaign is ‘Swachhotsav’ (Celebration of Cleanliness), with the central focus on ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’. Activities during the ‘Pakhwada’ will include blood donation camps and various cleanliness-related programs.
Addressing a review meeting at the Mantralaya on Monday regarding preparations, the CM Dr. Yadav said that seven key departments responsible for public engagement will play a pivotal role in ensuring the campaign’s success. He stated that he will personally visit districts during the campaign and may land by helicopter to participate in surprise visits to local ‘Seva Parv’ activities.
CM Dr. Yadav said, “Serving citizens is our fundamental duty, and good governance is our pledge. From September 17, we will celebrate this as a festival, making ‘Seva Parv’ a campaign for all. The primary goal is the prompt delivery of services and facilities according to the needs of every citizen. The festival will conclude with a grand ceremony on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti)”.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that during Seva Parv, from September 17 to 24, blood donation and health camps will be organised. Tree plantation will be carried out under the initiatives ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ and ‘Maa Ki Bagia’. New Namo Park, Namo Bagh, Namo Van and Namo Upvan will be created during the festival. On September 27, the Namo Marathon will be held. In addition to ‘Vikas Mela’, exhibitions and competitions for students will also be organised. An exhibition showcasing the life, personality and achievements of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also be displayed. The Chief Minister emphasised that the purpose of the Seva Pakhwada is to ensure that citizens benefit from good governance. Employment-oriented activities will be promoted, and the outstanding contributions of people from all sections of society will be recognized and encouraged. He said that during the festival, Navratri (September 22) and Vijayadashami (October 2) will also be observed, and special attention will be given to increasing public participation during these occasions. Furthermore, activities undertaken by the government for the welfare of farmers will be highlighted, including the distribution of fertilizers and disaster relief. The Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Development Campaign will also be widely promoted during this period.
Principal Secretary, Tribal Affairs, Shri Gulshan Bamra, stated that under the directive of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the ‘Adi Karmayogi’ Campaign and ‘Adi Seva Parv’ will be observed across the country from September 17 to October 2. Tribal-majority villages will discuss and finalise development plans at their Gram Panchayats. ‘Adi Seva’ Centers will be established as citizen grievance redressal centres, and Gram Sabha meetings will approve village development plans on October 2.
Senior officials from other departments also shared detailed plans for the services and activities their departments will conduct during the festival.
The review meeting was attended by Minister of State for Forest & Environment Shri Dilip Ahirwar, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Urban Development & Housing Shri Sanjay Dubey, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Shri Ashok Varnwal, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Secretary & Commissioner, Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade and other senior officials.
