CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated the state-level archery sports academy in Jabalpur on Wednesday, emphasizing that state athletes will have access to national-level training facilities. He affirmed the implementation of the state’s sports policy formulated by the Sports Ministry. Acknowledging India’s progress in global sports under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he highlighted efforts to prepare athletes for prestigious events like the Olympics and Asian Games.
The newly established academy, built at a cost of ₹26.80 crores in Ranjhi, Jabalpur, will be named after Late Ishwardas Rohani. CM Mohan Yadav remarked that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the state is witnessing rapid growth across various sectors, with the sports academy and its synthetic track set to benefit young athletes significantly.
Additionally, he instructed the District Collector to allocate residential plots to eligible individuals in suburban areas of Ranjhi, ensuring permanent housing for homeless families in both urban and rural regions. The government remains committed to providing housing for all.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Members of Parliament Shri Ashish Dubey and Sumitra Balmeek, along with several MLAs, officials, and sports enthusiasts.
During his visit,CM Mohan Yadav also participated in the Kalash Puja at the residence of Cantonment MLA Shri Ashok Rohani, engaging in discussions on regional development.
