CM Mohan Yadav announced that at least 10 cities in Madhya Pradesh will be developed on the model of Indore for the upcoming Swachh Survekshan. The Cabinet meeting, chaired by CM Dr. Yadav, began with the rendition of Vande Mataram at Committee Room No. 1 in the Vidhan Sabha.
The Cief Minister congratulated the people of the state for their achievements in Swachh Survekshan 2025. CM Mohan Yadav also extended his greeting to the citizens on the Occasion of Nag Panchami. He said that the national-level recognition has made every citizen of Madhya Pradesh proud. Indore has retained its title as the cleanest city in India for the eighth consecutive year, while Bhopal has been ranked second.
CM Mohan Yadav shared that 338 cities in the state have achieved ODF (Open Defecation Free) Double Plus certification and 24 cities have been awarded Water Plus certification, in his address before the Cabinet meeting. He informed that in Ujjain division, 56 out of 66 cities have improved their rankings, and 41 areas received star ratings. CM Dr. Yadav also announced that a state-level event will be held on the occasion of Janmashtami.
Booking for PM Shri Air Service Now Available on IRCTC Portal
CM Mohan Yadav informed that to promote tourism investment, a Regional Tourism Conclave focused on wildlife and offbeat destinations were held in Rewa on 26–27 July. Over 80 leading tour operators participated. Major investors expressed interest in investing over Rs. 3,000 crore in the Rewa and Shahdol divisions.
On this occasion—A Food Craft Institute was inaugurated in Shahdol at a cost of Rs. 15.6 crore, Spiritual development works worth Rs. 27 crore were launched in Chitrakoot and Booking for PM Shri Air Service has now been enabled on the IRCTC portal. Digital promotion contracts were signed with Barcode Entertainment and Quicky Digital. The Venkata Bhavan in Rewa will be conserved by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, with an estimated cost of ₹20 crore. MoUs were signed with Gramin Sudhar Samiti, M.M. Foundation, and Samarth Sanstha for establishing arts and crafts centers in Mandla, Dindori, Singrauli, Sidhi, and Seoni.
Tourism Products to Get a Common Platform in Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart
CM Mohan Yadav announced that the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM) will be held in Bhopal from 11 to 13 October, providing a platform for tourism stakeholders—hotel and resort owners, transport operators, and travel agents—to promote and discuss their tourism products. As part of the preparations for MPTM—Regional Tourism Conclaves will be held in Gwalior (12–13 August) and Indore (20–21 September).
CM Mohan Yadav also stated that unique sites such as major waterfalls and Dharmrajeshwar in Mandsaur will be developed as tourist attractions. He highlighted the spiritual significance of Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and Nagdwari in Pachmarhi, especially in the context of Nag Panchami, noting the deep faith shared by devotees in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
