CM Mohan Yadav participated in the concluding event of the Jan Kalyan Abhiyan in Indore.
CM Mohan Yadav stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is steering the country with effective governance and an inclusive vision. In alignment with this vision, the state government representatives are ensuring that citizens receive benefits from 63 different schemes, such as the Ayushman Card and Poverty Line Ration, directly at their doorsteps. A new survey is underway to provide permanent houses in rural areas. The state government upholds the principle of ‘live and let live’ and remains committed to improving the lives of the underprivileged. Dr. Yadav shared these remarks during the Jan Kalyan Abhiyan closing event at Gandhi Nagar, Indore, where beneficiaries from Indore and Ujjain divisions were present. The Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Abhiyan, conducted from December 11, 2024, to January 26, 2025, aimed to meet the cent percent target of beneficiary-oriented schemes from both the state and central governments. CM Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude by showering flowers on the attendees.
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the state government is committed to promoting unity and equality, in line with the vision of Constitution architect Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. He pointed out that Dr. Ambedkar granted the right to equality, and the state government is following Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ motto. Dr. Yadav also criticized past governments for not giving Dr. Ambedkar the respect he deserved, contrasting it with the current government’s efforts to develop significant sites linked to his life as Panch Teerth, thus honoring his legacy and contributions to the nation.
Anti-drug campaign started in the state
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that the state government is taking a wide range of actions to enhance the lives of its citizens, including providing pucca houses, gas stoves, free monthly rations until 2029, and free books for children’s education. Additionally, grants are being provided to individuals who raise more than 10 cows to promote milk production. Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women. He also mentioned the Ladli Behan initiative, where the state government is celebrating Rakshabandhan every month to strengthen support for women. Addressing the issue of drug addiction, the Chief Minister pointed out its destructive effect on society and introduced an anti-drug campaign across the state. The initiative aims to reduce liquor consumption, promote milk production, and ensure the safety, dignity, and prosperity of women while enhancing family life. The campaign for a liquor ban has started in religious cities as the first step.
Activities are going on in mission mode for youth, women, food providers, and poor welfare
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the state government is working with a mission-driven approach, in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, to foster social harmony, uplift the poor, provide job opportunities for youth, and bring about positive changes in citizens’ lives. Through the Youth Mission, the government is offering employment opportunities to technically skilled youth according to their qualifications. In addition to creating numerous government jobs, the government is focusing on private sector employment through industrial growth. Efforts are also underway to encourage youth entrepreneurship, inspiring them to become job creators rather than job seekers. CM Mohan Yadav further stated that the state government is focusing on holistic development by categorizing 56 departments into four groups and coordinating schemes and programs. These efforts are aimed at empowering women, supporting food producers, assisting farmers, and improving the welfare of the underprivileged.
State government’s aim: Work for every hand and water for every field
CM Mohan Yadav stated that the state government is committed to ensuring “Work for every hand, water for every field.” To achieve this goal, the state is implementing the world’s first river-linking project. He also shared that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has allocated Rs one lakh crore to Madhya Pradesh to enhance irrigation facilities in the Bundelkhand region. Dr. Yadav emphasized that the state government is focused on both forest conservation and addressing migration issues.
Regarding industrial development, CM Mohan Yadav revealed that Japanese industrial groups are eager to collaborate with Madhya Pradesh by introducing their advanced technology. To foster this collaboration, he is planning a visit to Japan to invite these groups to expand their industrial activities in the state. He noted that Madhya Pradesh has already attracted investment proposals worth Rs 4 lakh crore, thanks to its intellectual capital, youthful workforce, and industry-friendly environment. This investment is expected to generate employment opportunities for over 3 lakh youth. Dr. Yadav also mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be visiting Bhopal for the Global Investor Committee on February 24 and 25, and with his support, Madhya Pradesh will continue on its path of development. He urged the people to actively contribute to the state’s progress.
CM Mohan Yadav made Safai Mitras wear Padukas
CM Mohan Yadav distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes under the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Abhiyan. He provided PPE kits to Safai Mitras to ensure their safety and honored them by placing Padukas on their feet. Many elderly people expressed their gratitude and blessings to Dr. Yadav for receiving the benefits. Additionally, CM Mohan Yadav honored Shri Bhairu Singh Chauhan, who was selected for the Padma Shri, by presenting him with a shawl and shriphal.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Devda emphasized that both the Central and State Governments are promoting development by embracing the values of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar. He highlighted the government’s efforts to uplift all sections of society based on his principles of harmony and equality. Shri Devda also mentioned that missions have been established for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women, with significant progress being made in the state. He urged cooperation from all sectors to achieve the vision of a developed and self-reliant nation and state, as outlined by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Union Minister of State Shri Durgadas Uikey noted that the work for Scheduled Castes and Tribes, which had been neglected post-independence, is now being addressed through a joint effort of the Central Government under Prime Minister Shri Modi and the State Government led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Union Minister of State Smt. Savitri Thakur mentioned that Mhow has been designated as one of the Panchtirths in honor of the Scheduled Classes and highlighted that Bhairu Singh Chauhan, a tribal leader, was recently selected for the Padma Shri by the Central Government. MP Shri V.D. Sharma emphasized the collaborative efforts of the Central and State Governments to realize the vision of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution. Former Minister Shri Lal Singh Arya acknowledged Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s unprecedented contributions in his welcome speech.
