CM Mohan Yadav : Union Minister Shri Shah hails the e-summons system implemented in MP

On Friday, CM Mohan Yadav attended a review meeting in New Delhi at the office of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, discussing the implementation of three new criminal laws in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting focused on reviewing the current status and provisions related to police, jail, court, prosecution, and forensics.

Union Minister Shri Shah gave essential instructions for the implementation of the new criminal laws in the state. CM Yadav shared that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to introduce the e-summons system. Shri Shah commended the state for this innovation and encouraged other states to adopt it as well.

CM Yadav also highlighted that large-scale training programs are being organized to ensure the effective implementation of the new laws. The plan is to complete the recruitment and training of forensic science experts for the police force over the next two years.

He further informed that under the new legal provisions, cases are being resolved more swiftly using electronic evidence and modern resources. This has streamlined the judicial process, saving police time and reducing doctors’ inconvenience. While the police force benefits from less hassle in transporting prisoners, the public is receiving justice more quickly. CM Yadav also mentioned that he will personally review the progress of the implementation of these new laws every month, while the Chief Secretary will do so every 15 days.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both the State and Union Home Ministries, including Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain and Inspector General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana.
