CM Mohan Yadav, while addressing a mass marriage ceremony held under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana in Rampura village of Kalapipal tehsil, Shajapur district, on Wednesday, said that Indian culture is generous and profound. He noted that there is no other culture in the world where every phase of life is marked by sacred rituals—from birth to death—including marriage.A total of 1,247 marriages were solemnized during the ceremony, with 1,133 girls married as per Hindu traditions and 114 Nikahs conducted under Islamic customs. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, each newly married couple was provided a cheque of ₹49,000 as financial assistance.

CM Mohan Yadav, while extending his best wishes and blessings to the newly married couples, said that daughters are stepping into a new chapter of life, where they will become part of another family and gain new parents. He emphasized that the members of the new family should treat the daughter with respect and affection, and in turn, daughters should also honor and respect their new family members.On this occasion, Dr. Yadav remarked that the world today looks toward Indian culture with admiration and curiosity, eager to understand its depth and values. He said that our culture is so noble and expansive that it considers life blessed when one bows at the feet of those who renounce worldly life. He added that Indian culture does not focus on accumulation, but finds true joy in giving and sharing with others.
CM Mohan Yadav stated that the vision, direction, and mindset of the government should be rooted in the ideals of our own rich culture. He said that wherever Lord Krishna performed his divine Leelas in Madhya Pradesh, those places will be developed as religious pilgrimage sites. Janapav, the birthplace of Lord Parshuram, will also be developed as a significant spiritual destination. Additionally, a Gita Bhawan will be established in every urban body of the state, featuring well-equipped libraries to provide youth with study spaces and platforms for organizing cultural programs.Dr. Yadav emphasized that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is not only flourishing but is also opening new doors of happiness, prosperity, and development. He asserted that the government is fully capable of eliminating enemies of the nation and uprooting terrorism. The core objective of his government, he said, is to uplift the poor, empower women, support farmers, and ensure the holistic development of every section of society by providing them with the necessary resources for a better life.
CM Mohan Yadav announced that in the coming years, wheat will be procured from farmers at ₹2,700 per quintal, up from the current rate of ₹2,600 per quintal. He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring the prosperity of farmers by expanding access to irrigation facilities. As part of this commitment, farmers will be provided electricity connections for just ₹5.Highlighting ongoing efforts, Dr. Yadav said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project will significantly benefit farmers in the Shajapur district by enhancing irrigation coverage. He added that the government is actively working toward the goal of delivering water to every farm in the region.Addressing the need for affordable energy solutions, Dr. Yadav stated that although solar pumps typically cost ₹5 lakh, the government will make them available to farmers at just 10 percent of the cost—₹50,000. This initiative will help free farmers from electricity bills. Moreover, the government will also purchase any surplus electricity generated through these solar pumps, further increasing farmers’ income.
