CM Mohan Yadav expressed confidence on Thursday that the BJP would win all 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state, including Chhindwara.
After Alok Sharma, the BJP’s nominee for the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency, filed his nomination papers here, he was speaking at a rally.
Nobody had predicted, according to Yadav, that the BJP would form a majority government in 2014.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now taking it further; it was demonstrated earlier by the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee that the party can form a government on its own,” he remarked.
“The people of Madhya Pradesh are incredibly giving; in 2014, they gave the BJP 27 seats, and in 2019, they gave them 28. They’re going to assist the BJP win Chhindwara also this time, Yadav declared.
The incumbent BJP lost the Chhindwara seat to the Congress in the most recent Lok Sabha election, although it easily won the other 28 seats. The state has 29 seats overall. In 2019, Nakul Nath, the son of former chief minister and Congress stalwart Kamal Nath, won the Chhindwara seat.
