CM Mohan Yadav Unveils Development Projects for Khirkiya of Harda
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government is paying the school fees of every fourth child from all sections of society to ensure equal educational opportunities. From the next session, the government will also provide textbooks and school bags to students studying in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. He emphasised that under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is progressing rapidly, with Madhya Pradesh now emerging as one of the fastest-growing states. The state has established Sandipani School and is providing extensive support to students, including free bicycles, uniforms and textbooks for government school children. The students securing first rank receive scooties while those scoring 75% or above get laptops. These reforms mark a fundamental transformation in the state’s education system, which is key to securing children’s bright future and turning them into responsible, patriotic citizens.
CM Mohan Yadav made these remarks on Monday at Khirkiya in Harda district during a state-level event under the RTE Act, where he transferred ₹489 crore to 20,652 private schools in a single click for the reimbursement of fees for 8.45 lakh RTE-admitted students. On the occasion, he also announced the construction of a 72 km Ashapur–Harda road. Union Minister of State Durga Das Uike, School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh and former minister Kamal Patel were present.
CM Mohan Yadav said that the government fulfills its promises. Farmers received a ₹175 bonus on wheat, ensuring a price of ₹2,600 per quintal. He announced that under the Bhavantar scheme, soybean farmers will now be ensured a support price of ₹5,328 per quintal. Similarly, measures have been taken to guarantee fair prices for moong and paddy growers. CM Dr. Yadav, recalling the tragic Harda blast, said that the administration provided timely relief. The government ensures that the sick and injured are transported quickly to hospitals with the PM Shri Air Ambulance service.
CM Mohan Yadav stated that the of teachers are given utmost importance in Indian culture, citing examples from the Ramayana and the story of Krishna and Sudama, to underscore the values of respect, learning, and friendship. He expressed pride in how Subhash Chandra Bose rejected the British ICS post to showcase India’s intellectual strength.
Symbolic Cheques for 2 Schools
As part of the event, he distributed symbolic cheques of ₹4.01 lakh to Shanti Niketan Higher Secondary School, Chhipabad, for 62 students, and ₹3.61 lakh to Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Khirkiya, for 59 students admitted under RTE.
Union Minister Durga Das Uike said that the RTE Act has become a boon for the weaker sections and commended Dr. Yadav’s efforts in education, good governance, and agriculture. School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh noted that 70% of RTE students in private schools belong to farming families and praised the Chief Minister’s farmer-focused Bhavantar scheme. Former Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel highlighted Harda’s progress in irrigation, water supply, roads, and electricity.

Inauguration and Bhhomi Poojan of Development Projects
CM Mohan Yadavlaid the foundation stone for five projects worth ₹18.51 crore, including a new high school building at Kayda, a boys’ hostel at Timarni, power substations, and new panchayat buildings. He also inaugurated projects worth ₹5.73 crore, such as a primary health center with residential facilities at Dhanwada and a power substation at Bhawras.
Traditional Welcome by Tribal Artists
Tribal artists welcomed the Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with traditional rituals and performances, for which he announced an incentive of ₹5,000 each.
Plantation under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’
CM Mohan Yadav also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, along with Union Minister of State Shri D.D. Uikey, Education Minister Singh, and former minister Patel. A large number of public representatives, officials, teachers, students, and citizens participated in the program.
