CM Mohan Yadav Urges Timely Preparations to Ensure No Shortcomings in Arrangements

CM Mohan Yadav held a review meeting regarding the preparations for GIS-2025

CM Mohan Yadav stated that the Global Investors Summit (GIS) is a global congregation, and there should be no shortcomings in the arrangements. With less than two months remaining, all preparations should be completed in a well-organized manner within the stipulated time. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the preparations for GIS-2025 at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday. He emphasized focusing on core sectors during GIS and organizing activities that yield concrete results. He directed that proper arrangements be made for the accommodation, food, and transportation of all guests arriving from across the country and abroad for GIS-2025, including visits to nearby tourist attractions. Dr. Yadav instructed preparations for beautifying Bhopal city should begin on a war footing. Guests should also be informed about home-stay options. For this, the Culture, Forest, Tourism, and Local Administration departments should coordinate efforts. Prime Minister Shri Modi will formally inaugurate GIS 2025 on February 24.

Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Office, Dr. Rajesh Rajora; Principal Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Mr. Raghvendra Kumar Singh; MD of MPIDC, Mr. Chandramouli Shukla; Bhopal Commissioner, Mr. Sanjeev Singh; MD of Tourism Development Corporation, Mr. Ilaiyaraaja T., Bhopal Collector, Mr. Kaushalendra Vikram Singh; Director of Public Relations, Mr. Anshul Gupta; and other senior officials of the Industry Department attended the meeting.

CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that GIS-2025 should be organized as a grand event that encapsulates Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, making it a cherished memory for participants. He highlighted that the year 2025 has been declared as the “Year of Industry.” Dr. Yadav proposed organizing sectoral-expo or conclave every month across different divisions of the state, focusing on specific sectors like power, renewable energy, auto, agro, tourism, mining, health, education, and IT.

CM Mohan Yadav directed officials to prepare an annual departmental calendar of activities at the earliest. He also suggested an innovative approach by organizing a program involving experts, industry associations, and organizations from the industrial sector to facilitate detailed discussions on creating a streamlined, simple, and efficient industrialization framework in the state for balanced industrial growth.

GIS-2025 to be held at the Indira Gandhi National Manav Sangrahalaya

Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Mr. Raghvendra Kumar Singh, provided a detailed presentation on the progress and future plans for GIS-2025 through a PPT. He informed that Madhya Pradesh’s 8th Global Investors Summit (GIS-2025) will be organized at the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind campus in Bhopal.

The summit is expected to witness participation from over 20,000 attendees, and preparations are being made accordingly. The two-day global event will aim to comprehensively showcase the state’s industrial ecosystem and investment opportunities at an international level.

Approximately 1,000 participants from 25 countries are anticipated to attend. The summit will also feature special programs such as the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) Show, MP Pavilion, One District-One Product (ODOP) Pavilion, and Franchise MP Show.

Fireside Chat

Principal Secretary Mr. Raghvendra Singh informed that a Fireside Chat will be organized on the evening of February 23, a day before the GIS. In this virtual interaction, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will engage with prominent industrialists and investors from across the country.

The chat show will focus on highlighting the strengths of Madhya Pradesh’s industrial landscape, the progress achieved so far, and the roadmap prepared to transform Madhya Pradesh into a developed state by 2047. Discussions will also cover regional growth and development strategies.

Summit and Expo activities to commence with the inauguration on February 24

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate GIS 2025 on February 24. On the same day, an IT and Technology Summit will take place. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will hold one-on-one discussions with industrialists. Simultaneously, activities such as the MP Mobility Expo, Central India Fabric and Fashion Expo, MP Legacy Pavilion, and B2B meetings will also be conducted in parallel.

On the second day of GIS-2025, February 25, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will hold one-on-one meetings with industrialists and investors. Additionally, the Pravasi MP Summit, Infrastructure and Urban Development Summit, and Tourism Summit will take place, along with the MSME and Start-up Summit, Mining Summit, and Energy & Renewable Energy Summit. Parallel to these events, the MP Mobility Expo, Central India Fabric and Fashion Expo, MP Pavilion activities, Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, and Business-to-Consumers (B2C) meetings will also be conducted.

Thematic Sessions

On the second day of GIS-2025, February 25, six thematic sessions will be held from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The sessions will focus on the following sectors: Higher Education and Skill Development, Food Processing and Horticulture, Small Scale and Cottage Industry, Textiles and Apparel, and Pharmaceuticals.

Country Sessions

On the second day of GIS-2025, February 25, country sessions will also be held. Germany will focus on Engineering Excellence and Sustainability, the United Kingdom (UK) will discuss Education, IT, and the Service Sector, South Korea will highlight Innovation in Technology and Smart Manufacturing, and Japan will elaborate on Advanced Technologies and Industrial Collaboration. These sessions will provide in-depth discussions on key sectors and opportunities for collaboration.

The CII National Council Meeting

On the first day of GIS-2025, February 24, the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Council Meeting will be held in the presence of CII’s President, Vice President, Director General, and leading industrialists. The meeting will focus on formulating a comprehensive strategy and action plan to establish Madhya Pradesh as an industrial and economic hub of India and to realize the vision of a developed Madhya Pradesh. There will be in-depth discussions on key initiatives to achieve this goal.
