CM Mohan Yadav has stated that under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will once again become the ‘Golden Bird’ through entrepreneurship. AS Modi government came into power in 2014, India’s economy faced significant challenges. We were at the ranking as the 11th largest globally. By recognizing our internal strengths and infinite possibilities, we are now progressing rapidly using modern technology. Madhya Pradesh is also witnessing fast-paced development. Our state, a family of 9 crore people, aims to double its GDP in the next five years.
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of entrepreneurs in embodying the eternal Indian philosophy of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” (May everyone be happy). Just as a warrior dedicates everything for the nation, an entrepreneur works for the welfare of many families. He stressed that if everyone fulfills their roles diligently, it will benefit all and lead to the nation’s progress. Quoting, “Living for oneself is not living; live for the world.”
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s industry-friendly policies focused on simplicity and ease of doing business. The state provides a conducive environment for industries, offering cooperation, support, and respect. Special incentives are available for industries in sectors like tourism, IT, and ready-made garments, including assistance up to 200% and 5,000 rupees per worker for ten years.
CM Mohan Yadav mentioned that every youth in the state would be provided employment according to their skills and abilities. In recent times, six regional industry conclaves have been organized, attracting investments exceeding 4 lakh crore rupees, creating job opportunities for 3 lakh people. On February 24, Madhya Pradesh will host the Global Investors Conclave, with departments working on sector-specific policies to be finalized soon. StartUps are also being encouraged, with congratulations extended on StartUp Day.
CM Mohan Yadav clarified that development for his government is not just about physical infrastructure but also about the welfare of all social classes. Under the missions initiated by Prime Minister Modi for the welfare of the poor, youth, women, and farmers, rapid progress is being made.
He remarked that religiously significant regions like Shahdol, Anuppur, and Umaria, which were previously underdeveloped, will now witness comprehensive growth. The 7th Regional Industries Conclave, themed “Land of Infinite Possibilities”, has been organized in Shahdol to promote balanced development. Industrialists shared their experiences, and the state’s progressive industrial policies have attracted continuous investment proposals. The vision is to develop Shahdol as an industrial hub, making it a center for the state and the nation.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla stated that the conclave has instilled excitement among Shahdol residents. An event of this magnitude, previously confined to major cities, was made possible due to Dr. Yadav’s visionary leadership and commitment to the state’s inclusive development.
Minister of State for Cottage and Rural Industries (Independent Charge), Shri Dilip Jaiswal expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the Regional Industry Conclave. He stated that industrial investment in this region would create new employment opportunities. Shahdol division has an ample supply of water, land, forests, and human resources for industries. The hardworking people of this area will contribute to taking industries to new heights. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the entire state is progressing rapidly on the path of industrial investment.
Industrialists Propose Investments in Coal, Energy, and Steel Sectors
At the Shahdol Regional Industries Conclave, over 40 industrialists presented various investment proposals, praising Madhya Pradesh’s industrial promotion policy.
Torrent Power Limited Vice President, Shri. Naveen Kumar Singh, appreciated the state’s investor-friendly policies, highlighting the timely approval of investment proposals and the availability of adequate power, water, and infrastructure. Torrent Power Limited plans to establish a modern, technology-based thermal power plant in the state, which will generate employment for 1,000 people. Additionally, they intend to invest in renewable energy. Mr. Singh described Madhya Pradesh as an ideal state for investment.
Balaghat-based industrialist Shri Harsh Trivedi of Ramanik Power shared that they initially started with an investment of 50 crore rupees in Madhya Pradesh, which has grown to 350 crore rupees, thanks to the state’s industry-friendly policies. Now, they plan to invest 500 crore rupees. The state’s excellent roads, railways, and other facilities attract investors. Once plagued by power shortages, Madhya Pradesh is now supplying electricity to other states. The state also boasts a large number of trained workers and technicians and is poised to become one of the leading states in the country.
Reliance Energy representative, Shri Ravi Kumar lauded CM Mohan Yadav for organizing regional industry conclaves in every division, calling it a bold and impactful step for both small and large investors. He noted that Reliance established a natural gas-based industry in Shahdol 20 years ago with an investment of 6,000 crore rupees, laying a 250-km gas pipeline from Shahdol to Phulpur, Uttar Pradesh. He identified the region as highly suitable for gas-based industries.
Shri Kamal Kishore Sharda of Sharda Energy, Raipur, announced plans to establish a coal-based steel plant in the Shahdol region, along with investments in renewable energy and thermal power. He emphasized that the establishment of industries will bring prosperity to the entire region. They also aim to improve local agriculture by training farmers in hybrid seed production.
Industrialist Shri Narendra Goyal shared his commitment to investing 3,000 crore rupees in Shahdol for setting up a rebar (steel rod) manufacturing plant. He revealed that they have acquired a coal block in the area, and mining operations will begin soon.
Several other industrialists also presented attractive investment proposals during the program.

Shri Singh emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is the second-largest state in India by area and ranks first in forest coverage. It is also the second-largest producer of food grains in the country. The state leads in the production of copper, manganese, molybdenum, and diamonds.He stated that as the fifth most populous state in India, Madhya Pradesh offers a vast consumer market. The state is home to 15.9 lakh MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) units, which collectively employ over 83 lakh people. This positions Madhya Pradesh as the seventh-largest MSME hub in the country.To further support MSMEs, the state government provides Capital Subsidies under the MSME policy, financial assistance for quality certification, energy audits, and intellectual property rights (IPR). These initiatives have played a vital role in fostering industrial growth and attracting investments to Madhya Pradesh.
Launching Vast Opportunities for MSMEs and StartUps
Secretary of MSME, Smt. Priyanka Das, provided a detailed presentation on the state’s policies, achievements, and future plans. She highlighted the Madhya Pradesh government’s strong efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, noting that the state’s MSME and start-up ecosystem is rapidly progressing toward economic and industrial development.
Madhya Pradesh is now the seventh-largest hub for MSMEs in India, having attracted investments worth 2.51 lakh crore rupees, showcasing its industrial potential. The state government offers a range of support for the MSME sector, including Capital subsidies, Quality certification, Energy audits, Financial assistance for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Additional benefits for export-oriented units.
In the startUp sector, Madhya Pradesh is playing a leading role, with over 4,900 StartUps, 47% of which are women-led. These start-ups are supported by 72 incubators and 4 Atal Incubation Centers. The government also provides marketing support for national and international events and special packages for product-based startUps.
The Shahdol region has immense potential for both industrial and start-up development. The districts of Shahdol, Umaria, and Anuppur have developed five industrial zones, attracting an investment of 916 crore rupees, creating employment opportunities for 1.71 lakh people. This region is also known for producing forest products like mahua, bamboo, and turmeric, ensuring a steady supply of raw materials for industrial development.
To further encourage investment, the state government is offering up to 40% incentives on investments for MSMEs and start-ups. Additionally, benefits such as energy fee exemptions, electricity tax relief, reimbursement for quality certification and patent fees, and special subsidies for sectors like food processing, garments, toys, and furniture are also being provided.
State Makes Remarkable Progress in Renewable Energy Sector: Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manu Srivastava
Additional Chief Secretary for New and Renewable Energy, Shri Manu Srivastava, gave a presentation on investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. He highlighted the significant growth in renewable energy in the state, with an increase in renewable energy capacity from 491 MW in 2012 to 6,418 MW in 2024. He mentioned that under the vision of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the leadership of CM Mohan Yadav, the energy in the coming years will primarily be based on renewable sources.
Mr. Srivastava stated that many large solar energy projects are already operational in the state. Notable projects like the Rewa Solar Park and Omkareshwar Generating Solar Project were inaugurated by CM Mohan Yadav. Major solar parks in Shajapur and Neemuch are also expected to start by the end of this year, which will further strengthen the state’s energy capacity.
He pointed out that the Morena Hybrid Park is a remarkable example of Madhya Pradesh’s innovation potential. A joint project between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is being established, where both states will receive electricity supply for 6 months each. This is the first such project in the country. He emphasized that to empower farmers, special attention is being given to solar energy projects under the KUSUM Scheme. So far, 21,134 solar pumps have been installed in the state, and projects with a total capacity of 1,490 MW have been approved. These projects are becoming an additional source of income for farmers.
According to the Chief Minister’s vision, the state aims to install more than 35 lakh solar pumps. Additionally, Rooftop Solar Projects are being set up rapidly in the state under the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Scheme, with attractive subsidies being offered.
Mr. Srivastava also mentioned that Madhya Pradesh has successfully acquired solar energy at a record low rate of 2.15 rupees per unit, the lowest in the country, which is a significant achievement. He shared that a proposal to develop a Wind Hybrid Park along the lines of solar parks is in the works. The state government has set a target to solarize all government buildings by 2025-26.
He appealed to investors to become a part of the state’s solar journey and invest in renewable energy.

Madhya Pradesh Emerging as the IT Hub of the Country: MD Shri Ashish Vashisht
Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation, Shri Ashish Vashisht, gave a presentation on the immense investment opportunities in the IT/ITES and ESDM sectors under the theme “Destination Madhya Pradesh: The Home to Emerging Tech Hubs in India.” He explained that to transform Madhya Pradesh into the IT hub of the country, the state offers a vibrant technical ecosystem, entrepreneurial culture, government policies, a skilled workforce, low to medium business risks, infrastructure, better connectivity, and a superior quality of life and work-life balance.
Shri Vashisht stated that in the past year alone, the IT sector has attracted more than 1,000 crorerupees in investments, creating over 15,000 job opportunities. Major companies, including LT Mindtree, Cognizant, andHexaware, are part of these investment proposals.
He also highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is in the final stages of implementing the AVGC-EXRR (Animation, Visual Effects, Comics, and Extended Reality) policy and the GCCpolicy.
Currently, over 2,000 IT/ITES and ESDM units are operational in the state, including 650 units registered with MPSIDC, which benefit from state policies. These units have an annual turnover exceeding 10,000 crore rupees. More than50 major IT and ITES units have set up operations in the state. The state exports 500 million dollar annually through IT-related companies. Madhya Pradesh has 5 IT Special Economic Zones and 15 IT parks, providing employment to over 1.5 lakh people .
The 2023 IT/ITES and ESDM investment promotion policy includes fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, developer incentives, rental incentives, and land-related benefits for investors. For investments exceeding 200 crore rupees in the IT sector, 300 crore rupeesin ESDM, and500 crore rupees in datacenters, a committee chaired by the Chief Minister is set up to provide additional benefits. Financial and non-financial incentives are being offered to investors in these sectors.
Immense Investment Opportunities in the Tourism Sector: Smt Bidisha Mukherjee
Additional Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Smt. Bidisha Mukherjee, emphasized the immense investment potential in the state’s tourism sector. She pointed out that Madhya Pradesh is home to several waterfalls, life-giving rivers like the Narmada, Ken-Betwa, and Chambal, and is rich in heritage with 24 sanctuaries, 12 national parks, 9 tiger reserves, 14 UNESCO sites, and2 Jyotirlingas. The state is well-connected with 7 airports for better accessibility.
Smt. Mukherjee shared information about the tourism policy and stated that investors could explore opportunities in sectors like hotels, home stays, museums, and cruise tourism. Over 1,000 hectares of land are available for such investments. She also mentioned that Shahdol district holds vast tourism investment potential and shared the efforts of the Tourism Board in the district.
CM Mohan Yadav Engages in One-to-One Discussions with Entrepreneurs
CM Mohan Yadav engaged in one-to-one discussions with representatives of various industries and industrial groups to promote investment and industrial activities in the state during the Regional Industry Conclave (RIC) in Shahdol.
Shri Kamlesh Kishore Sharda, CMD of Sharda Energy & Minerals, proposed setting up an integrated steel plant under a Greenfield project, requesting the allotment of approximately 500 acres of land. He thanked the Chief Minister for creating a conducive environment for investors in the state. The Chief Minister assured full government support for investors.
Shri Naveen Singh, Vice President of Torrent Power, expressed interest in establishing 800 MW thermal power plantswith an investment of18,000 crore rupees, which would generate7,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Shri Ravi Kumar Prekki, Business Head of Reliance Group (Coal-based Methane), shared plans for upcoming methane extraction projects. The Chief Minister assured the investors of all necessary assistance.
Other entrepreneurs, including Shri Ashok Kumar Chaturvedi, Director ofGanga Minerals , Shri Narendra Goyal, MD of Bajrang Power & Steel , and Shri Anant Agarwal, MD & CEO ofOrient Paper Mill , discussed their investment plans, with each expressing interest in projects that would generate thousands of jobs.
CM Mohan Yadav also interacted with the founders of several companies, such as Greenwood Solar SolutionsandGranoxiein the solar energy and food processing sectors.
These one-on-one discussions highlighted the state’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment with extensive support for industries across various sectors.
