CM Nayab  convenes a crucial meeting with Vice-Chancellors of Government Universities to discuss advancements in the education sector.

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, held a significant meeting today with Vice-Chancellors of State Government Universities to discuss key education sector reforms. He emphasized that the 2025-26 state budget will prioritize education, ensuring that students receive quality learning in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP). The Chief Minister also invited suggestions from Vice-Chancellors to further improve the education system.

Scholarships for Backward Classes & Scheduled Caste Students

Reaffirming the state government’s commitment as outlined in the Sankalp Patra, the Chief Minister announced that students from Backward Classes (BC) and Scheduled Castes (SC) pursuing medical and engineering studies in government colleges across India will receive full scholarships. He directed officials to swiftly develop a framework for implementation. Additionally, he stressed the complete implementation of the NEP in universities and colleges, with the broader goal of transforming Haryana into a global education hub, offering specialized training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern skills.

Horticulture University to Focus on Research & Crop Diversification

During discussions with the Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of horticultural crops in agriculture’s future. He urged the university to lead research on fruits and vegetables grown across Haryana and to raise awareness among farmers about crop diversification beyond traditional farming.

He also announced that the first phase of the India International Horticulture Market in Ganaur would soon be inaugurated, benefiting horticulture farmers by increasing the export of fruits and vegetables and boosting their income.

Sports Schools in Every District & Olympic Training for 2036

To promote sports development, the Chief Minister directed officials to develop a plan to establish sports schools in every district, ensuring that universities have proper sports infrastructure. He emphasized the need to begin training Haryana’s youth for the 2036 Olympics, aiming to bring global recognition to the state and the nation.

Education Minister Calls for Research Support Framework

Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda highlighted that Haryana’s youth possess exceptional talent, bringing honor to the state and the country in various fields. However, he noted that many students miss out on opportunities due to a lack of resources and support.

He suggested that students creating innovative projects in science, environment, and other fields during school and college exhibitions should receive proper guidance and financial assistance to advance their research. To facilitate this, he proposed that education department officials and universities collaborate to develop a structured research support framework.
