CM Nayab Singh Saini : A constructive resolution is certain to emerge in the upcoming meeting

CM Nayab Singh Saini : A constructive dialogue on the SYL issue took place in a cordial and respectful environment in New Delhi on Wednesday, chaired by Union Jal Shakti Minister Sh. C.R. Patil, with the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab in attendance.

Present at the meeting were Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, Punjab Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Mann, Union Secretary Debashree Mukherjee, Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of Irrigation and Water Resources Department Anurag Aggarwal, and other senior officials from the Irrigation Department. It was agreed that the next round of talks will be held on August 5.

Following the meeting, CM Nayab Singh Saini told the media that productive and meaningful discussions had taken place. He noted that even Punjab’s Chief Minister acknowledged the need to resolve the issue, which has remained unsettled for a long time.

Expressing optimism, CM Nayab Singh Saini said he believes a positive resolution will be reached. He emphasized that Punjab and Haryana share a deep bond like brothers, maintaining mutual respect and harmony even today. He added that the discussions in the next meeting are expected to bring forth a constructive and beneficial solution.
