Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has instructed officials to complete the repair of all damaged roads in the state by June 15. He emphasized launching a special campaign to ensure that tendering and other essential procedures are finalized within 15 days, allowing high-quality road repairs ahead of the monsoon season.
CM Nayab Singh Saini issued these directives while presiding over a review meeting of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board today. Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana was also in attendance.
Expressing concern over the poor state of roads, CM Nayab Singh Saini directed officials to identify and initiate repairs within 15 days to ease public inconvenience. He also stressed that roads transferred to the Zila Parishads in five districts must be repaired within the stipulated timeframe, maintaining strict quality standards. He warned that any negligence or delay in road repairs would not be tolerated.
It is worth mentioning that during the Vidhan Sabha budget session, the Chief Minister had announced a comprehensive road renovation plan, ensuring that no road in Haryana remains in poor condition within the next six months.
Additionally, CM Nayab Singh Saini called for an acceleration of road widening projects. He instructed officials to increase the width of roads maintained by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board from 12 feet to 18 feet to accommodate rising traffic. He also underscored the importance of repairing and maintaining roads inside Mandis to ensure seamless movement for farmers transporting their produce.
During the meeting, officials reported that out of 4,313 roads maintained by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, 465 roads have already been expanded to 18 feet. Work is underway on widening 34 more roads, while the tendering process is ongoing for an additional 35 roads covering a total of 118 km.
Reviewing the progress of various commitments,CM Nayab Singh Saini directed officials to ensure timely execution of all announced projects. He urged departments to coordinate effectively to facilitate smooth implementation of developmental initiatives.
Regarding budget announcements, he emphasized the need for fast-paced planning and execution to ensure 100% on-ground implementation of all schemes, maximizing public benefit.
During the review, he also provided guidance on key projects, including the Apple Market in Pinjore, the upcoming Flower Market in Gurugram, the India International Horticulture Market in Gannaur, and the Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteen.

Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Director of Agriculture, Sh. Raj Naraian Kaushik, Director of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, Sh. Rajesh Jogpal, Managing Director of HAFED, Sh. Mukul Kumar, and other senior officials.
