CM Nayab Singh Saini also gave instructions to maintain cleanliness in the offices.

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, today carried out an unannounced inspection to evaluate the current cleanliness efforts at the Haryana Civil Secretariat. This inspection is part of the state government’s dedicated cleanliness drive under the ‘Swachh Haryana Mission,’ which aims to enhance cleanliness in public areas and government offices throughout the state. The campaign, running until January 31, 2025, is focused on creating a cleaner and healthier environment.

During the inspection, CM Nayab Singh Saini was joined by Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language, and Culture Department K. Makrand Pandurang, Special Secretary for Monitoring and Coordination Priyanka Soni, and Special Secretary for Secretariat Establishment Samvartak Singh Khangwal.

In a conversation with the media, the Chief Minister stated that the state government had launched a special campaign to maintain a clean and organized Haryana. He mentioned that all district officers had been directed to give top priority to cleanliness in their offices, as a clean work environment would lead to improved efficiency and quicker work processes.

CM Nayab Singh Saini also praised Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for his ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness across the country. He highlighted the Prime Minister’s call for citizens to unite in creating a Swacch Bharat-Swasth Bharat. The Chief Minister noted the remarkable progress made since 2014 when open defecation was widespread. Thanks to the Prime Minister’s leadership, the government has successfully made the country open defecation-free through the Har Ghar Shauchalay Yojana. Additionally, the Prime Minister launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, which has led to the planting of millions of trees as part of a larger environmental cleanliness initiative.

CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that while personal hygiene and cleanliness are individual responsibilities, maintaining a clean environment around us is just as crucial. He stated that a clean environment is essential for promoting good health.
