CM Nayab Singh Saini : Haryana Vidhan Sabha Budget Session Scheduled from March 7 to March 28

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced that the Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha will commence on March 7 and continue until March 28. As the Finance Minister, he will present the state budget for the financial year 2025-26 on March 17.

Speaking to the media after the all-party meeting and the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, the Chief Minister stated that the session will open with the Governor’s address on March 7, followed by discussions, leading up to the budget presentation on March 17. The BAC meeting included constructive discussions on the bills to be introduced, session duration, and other key matters.

Addressing a query on pre-budget consultations, CM Nayab Singh Saini highlighted his visits to various districts, where he engaged with industrial associations, chartered accountants, the textile sector, progressive farmers, FPOs, agricultural scientists, youth, Namo Drone Didis, and women’s self-help groups to gather their inputs. Additionally, he held consultations with ministers, MPs, and MLAs during a two-day session in Panchkula on March 3 and 4. He assured that the most valuable suggestions will be incorporated into the budget, which aims to align with the aspirations of Haryana’s 2.80 crore residents. He emphasized that this would be the first budget of the BJP government’s third consecutive term in Haryana, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, with a vision to accelerate the state’s development threefold.

On the construction of a new Haryana Vidhan Sabha building, CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that discussions were held during the all-party meeting. He pointed out that with the proposed delimitation, the number of assembly seats will increase, making the current building inadequate, thus necessitating a new facility.

Regarding the upcoming Municipal Elections, he confidently predicted a decisive BJP victory on March 12.

CM Nayab Singh Saini  also announced a provision in the upcoming budget to provide ₹2,100 to women, reaffirming that all promises in the Sankalp Patra will be fulfilled over the next five years. He highlighted that the government has already implemented 18 major commitments, benefiting the people, with 10 more resolutions set to be completed soon.

Responding to concerns about the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha’s march from Punjab to Chandigarh over unmet farmer demands, CM Nayab Singh Saini accused the Punjab government of instigating the farmers. As a farmer’s son, he emphasized his deep understanding of their challenges and reiterated Haryana’s commitment to supporting farmers, particularly in times of natural calamities. He pointed out that Haryana was the first state to procure 14 crops at MSP and currently ensures 100% procurement at the minimum support price.

CM Nayab Singh Saini  urged the Punjab government to engage directly with farmers, guarantee MSP for all crops, and provide necessary assistance. He also appealed to Punjab’s Chief Minister to avoid using force against protesting farmers and instead resolve their concerns through dialogue.

On ensuring quality seed and fertilizer supplies, he reassured that only certified seeds will be made available, preventing any exploitation of farmers.
