CM Nayab Singh Saini : In the meeting of High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Nayab Singh Saini held here today, approval was granted for the contracts and purchase of various items worth more than Rs. 2330 crore. The negotiations with different bidders during the meeting resulted in savings of approximately Rs. 106 crore.
Cabinet Ministers Sh. Anil Vij, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda, Sh. Vipul Goel, Dr. Arvind Sharma, and Sh. Ranbir Gangwa were present in the meeting.
*No compromise will be made on the quality of infrastructure projects*
In the meeting, approval was also granted for the special repair of the remaining non-residential buildings at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, in Nuh district. The Chief Minister was apprised that the contractor had left the work incomplete and the quality of the work that was completed was also unsatisfactory.
Taking strict cognizance of the same, the Chief Minister issued directions to take firm action against the concerned officer and the contractor. No compromise on quality will be tolerated in infrastructure projects. Special attention must be paid to the quality of every task. Each project should be completed within the stipulated time frame. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
*Mother and Child Hospital to be Built in B.K. (Civil) Hospital Complex in Faridabad*
In the meeting, approval was granted for the construction of a Mother and Child Hospital within the premises of B.K. (Civil) Hospital in Faridabad, as well as for the construction of a 100-bed hospital in Assandh, Karnal. Additionally, approval was given for the construction of a government college in village Bhaindoli of Palwal district.
Approval was also given for the construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels at Maharshi Valmiki Sanskrit University in Mundhri, Kaithal district, for the construction of 66 kV and 132 kV composite transmission lines in Rohtak and Gurugram areas, for the upgradation of roads in HSVP’s industrial sectors 25, 28, 29, and 30 in Panipat; and for the construction of 24 ready-built factories in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in Sohna.
Approvals were also given for development works under Phase-5 in HSIIDC IMT Manesar; basic infrastructure services such as roads, public health services, and all other related works for the R&R area of the Global City Project in Sector-37, Gurugram; the upgradation of public health services in IDC Rohtak; and the upgradation of major roads under Phase-II in Rohtak.
*Approval Granted for Water Supply and Sewerage System Projects*
In the meeting, approval was given for the establishment of a 22 MLD capacity Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and the construction and operation of a 10 MLD capacity Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CEPT) in the Industrial Estate, Panipat.
Additionally, to increase the capacity of the Saraswati River in Kurukshetra district, the construction of RCC retaining walls from RD 207850 to RD 217000 and from RD 234700 to RD 246000 was approved. Approval was also granted for the rehabilitation of the NBK Link Channel from RD 0 to 22000 and RD 22000 to 44000 in Karnal, as well as for the rehabilitation of the Saraswati Feeder from RD 0 to 38000 in Kurukshetra.
To ensure efficient sewer cleaning, approval was given for the procurement of 18 super sucker machines. Moreover, the purchase of various items for 780 Mahila Sanskritik Kendra was also approved.
Administrative secretaries of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
