Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini affirmed that both the Central Government and the Haryana Government are genuine supporters of farmers. He pointed out that Haryana has purchased 100% of farmers’ crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and deposited ₹1.25 lakh crore into the accounts of 12 lakh farmers. Additionally, ₹78 crore has been provided to farmers as interest for delayed payments after crop procurement. In contrast, he criticized the previous Congress government and the current Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab for failing to support farmers, as crops are not being purchased at MSP, leading to ongoing farmer protests. The Chief Minister urged the Punjab government to pass legislation guaranteeing 100% procurement of crops at MSP and assured that under a BJP-led government in Punjab, all crops would be purchased at MSP.
CM Nayab Singh Saini shared these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the Saini Maha Sammelan held in Ropar, Punjab, today. The event was also attended by the Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, along with Ropar BJP District President and program organizer Ajay Veer Singh Lalpura, as well as other prominent members of the Saini community.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that during last year’s Kharif season in Haryana, delayed rains forced farmers to make additional arrangements for irrigation and other necessities to sow their crops. Recognizing their challenges, the Haryana government provided a bonus of ₹2,000 per acre, which was directly transferred into farmers’ accounts.
He further highlighted the government’s commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged and laborers. Shortly after beginning his second term as Chief Minister, he introduced free dialysis services for kidney patients across government hospitals, medical colleges, and PGIs in the state. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced free treatment under the Ayushman Yojana for senior citizens above 70 years of age. Building on this, the Haryana government extended the scheme to benefit senior citizens within the state, allocating ₹2,500 crore for this initiative.
He mentioned that the backward classes in Haryana had long been requesting an increase in the income limit for the creamy layer. In response, the Haryana government raised this limit from ₹6 lakh to ₹8 lakh, offering significant benefits to these communities.
Promotion of Women Empowerment
CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a strong proponent of women’s empowerment, evident from the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, which ensures 33 percent reservation for women in the upcoming Lok Sabha and state assembly elections.
Bibi Sharandeep Kaur’s Sacrifice Was for Humanity, Beyond Religion
The Chief Minister remarked that Bibi Sharandeep Kaur was a true soldier of Dasam Patshah Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. She achieved martyrdom while fighting against Mughal invaders during the religious war led by Guru Ji. Her sacrifice was not only for religion but for all of humanity, and her bravery and principles teach us the importance of being ready to make any sacrifice to uphold loyalty to religion, truth, and justice.
Education Is the Most Powerful Weapon
CM Nayab Singh Saini expressed that Mata Savitribai Phule is a source of pride for society. As India’s first female teacher, she was also a social reformer and a champion of women’s rights. In 1833, Savitribai Phule broke social barriers by opening schools for girls, benefiting daughters not just of the Saini community but of every community. Alongside her husband, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Mata Savitribai Phule devoted her life to eradicating social evils, empowering women, and promoting girls’ education.
United Saini Community Will Achieve Every Milestone of Progress
The Chief Minister emphasized that if the Saini community unites, it will achieve every milestone of progress. He stressed the importance of educating both sons and daughters, asserting that only through education will we be able to advance and pave the way for development. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also flagged off a mobile bus equipped with state-of-the-art eye treatment facilities. This bus will offer on-the-spot checkups and treatments to patients.
