Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing a press conference on Monday, stated that the state budget for the financial year 2025-26 reflects the priorities and aspirations of the people of Haryana. To fulfill these aspirations, the government aims to achieve 90 of the commitments outlined in the Sankalp Patra within this year. So far, 19 out of 217 commitments have been completed, while work is in progress on 14 others.
Cabinet Ministers Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, Sh. Vipul Goel, and Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi were also present at the press conference.
Highlighting key initiatives in the budget,CM Nayab Singh Saini announced the establishment of a ‘Department of Future’ to make Haryana future-ready. Additionally, the Haryana AI Mission will be launched, with AI hubs set up in Gurugram and Panchkula. Women farmers will receive interest-free loans of up to Rs. 1 lakh to support dairy farming. A new Model Sanskriti School will be established within every 10 km radius, and one government Model Sanskriti School in each district will be upgraded into a Centre of Excellence in Sports.
CM Nayab Singh Saini also shared that a bill has been introduced in the Vidhan Sabha to curb the sale of counterfeit seeds and pesticides. The budget includes an annual for students in classes 10 to 12, with cash prizes of up to Rs. 10 lakh for winners of the World Skills Olympiad. Seventeen districts will have daycare centers for cancer patients, MBBS seats will increase from 2,185 to 2,485, and 10 new Integrated Manufacturing Townships (IMTs) will be developed across the state.
Under the ‘One District One Product’ scheme, 10 new industrial clusters will be formed, and gig workers will receive insurance coverage. Cities will benefit from a Rs. 100 crore urban drainage fund, and each municipal area will have a sports complex. Old landfill sites will be completely cleared, with smart markets being developed in cities and smart streets introduced in villages.
Regarding power supply, CM Nayab Singh Saini mentioned that under the ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme, 5,877 villages already receive 24-hour electricity, with a new initiative planned for the remaining 1,376 villages. Additionally, under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, the goal is to install 2.22 lakh solar rooftops by March 31, 2027, with 15,000 homes already fitted with 2 kW solar rooftops.
Director General of the Information, Public Relations, Languages, and Culture Department, Sh. K Makrand Pandurang, along with Media Secretary Sh. Praveen Attrey, were also present at the event.
