- The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 52 developmental schemes through remote.
- These schemes include the inauguration of 32 schemes at a cost of Rs 688.17 crore and the foundation stone laying of 20 schemes at a cost of Rs 296.42 crore.
In the course of the Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish inspected the site of widening and strengthening of the Left Out Chhapra Road on Bishunpura Bypass (NH-19) at Bisen Tola of Chhapra Sadar block (NH-19) under Saran district and the proposed elevated road construction from Doriganj Bazaar to Bishunpura.During the inspection, the officials inspected the widening and strengthening work of the proposed NH-19 Left Out Chhapra Section road at a cost of Rs. 89.95 crore, Detailed information was given to the Chief Minister regarding the widening and strengthening work of the proposed Khera Beantoliya road at a cost of Rs 40.53 crore, widening and strengthening work of Chhapra, NH-31, Ballia Mod-Manjhi-Darouli-Guthni (NH-227A) road under Saran and Siwan districts at a cost of Rs 701.26 crore.While giving instructions to the officers, the Chief Minister said that the work on all these roads should be completed as soon as possible by speeding up the work. These are very important roads. After their construction, traffic will be smooth and people will get relief from the problem of traffic jam.
CM Nitish inaugurated the Government Medical College and Hospital Chhapra, Saran at a cost of Rs 655 crore through remote. During this, the Chief Minister inspected the academic building of the Government Medical College and Hospital and took stock of the practical laboratory, skill laboratory etc. The Chief Minister also inspected the OPD, registration counter and consultation room of the hospital. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that the hospital has been constructed very well here.This will provide great convenience to the people of Chhapra and its surrounding areas in getting treatment. Along with studies, patients will also be treated in this Government Medical College and Hospital. I am very happy that it has become functional. In the premises of Government Medical College and Hospital, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of developmental schemes of Saran district through remote.
CM Nitish inaugurated the pond (paver block path-way, Chhath Ghat), rural ghat constructed under MNREGA and playground, beautified under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan in village Mahamada situated in Gadkha block of Saran district.
While directing the officers, the Chief Minister said that a stepped ghat should be constructed around the pond. We will start the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan from the year 2019 and will water all the public wells., Beautification and renovation of ponds, pools etc. is being done so that water is conserved. The Chief Minister visited the stalls set up by various departments and Jeevika sisters.
During this, CM Nitish gave a symbolic cheque of the amount provided as bank loan to 75912 families of 6326 Jeevika self-help groups, a symbolic cheque of Rs 3 crore 2 lakh 18 thousand 722 to 661 beneficiaries under the Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, Symbolic cheque of Rs. 15 crore 73 lakh 95 thousand under the Community Investment Fund provided to 1571 Jeevika self-help groups, key of rural market Mohammada, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana,Kushal Yuva Programme, Bihar Student Credit Card, Chief Minister Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojana, Ayushman Card, Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, Token check of Agricultural Mechanization State Scheme, Token check of Chief Minister Integrated Chaur Development Scheme, Symbolic cheque of Vyolar Poultry Farm under Integrated Development Scheme, Symbolic cheque of ‘Death Benefit’ under Integrated Goat and Sheep Development Scheme, Bihar Shatabdi Unorganized Work Workers and Artisans Social Security Scheme,Under the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, symbolic cheque of award, Basgeet certificate, symbolic cheque of Inter-caste Marriage Promotion Grant Scheme and key of battery operated tricycle for handicapped people were given to the beneficiaries.The Chief Minister inaugurated the renovation work of Anganwadi Center No. 199, Mangala Tola, paver block work in front of the school and beautification work at a cost of Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand in Mahamada village through remote.
CM Nitish participated in the dialogue program with Jeevika sisters organized in the premises of Government Middle School cum Higher Secondary School Mahamda. Jeevika sisters shared their experiences with the Chief Minister and said that Jeevika group has proved to be a boon for all of us women.
CM Nitish said that when he was a minister at the Centre, he used to visit many places and see the work being done by Jeevika groups. He saw that the number of Jeevika groups in Bihar is very less. The work was also not being done properly.When our government was formed in Bihar in 2005, we started increasing the number of livelihood groups by taking a loan from the World Bank in 2006. As a result, the number of livelihood groups in Bihar has now increased to 10 lakh 61 thousand. 1 crore 31 lakh women are associated with them.We named the women associated with self-help groups as Jeevika Didi, inspired by which the Centre named it Ajeevika across the country. We have started forming Jeevika groups in urban areas as well. So far 26 thousand women have joined it.Didis are doing a great job through Jeevika groups. This has increased their self-confidence and their language skills have also improved. Earlier, women used to hesitate to step out of their homes.Now they are doing many types of business by joining Jeevika groups. We go to every place and see their work and whatever their needs are, they are fulfilled.
After this, the Chief Minister also inspected the site of widening and strengthening of the proposed Ekma-Masharakh road and Ekma-Dumaigadh road at Ekma Chatti in Ekma block.During the inspection, the officials gave detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding the proposed Ekma-Masharkh road at a cost of Rs 90 crore and the proposed Ekma-Tajpur-Dumaigadh road at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
