CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated Management Development Centre (MDC) & Girls’ Hostel at Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change, Patna, by unveiling the plaques and cutting the ribbon.
CM Nitish stated that the new MDC building will better serve training needs, while the newly constructed girls’ hostel will provide improved accommodation, making it easier for students to pursue their studies.
The event was attended by Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary and Institute Director Dr. S. Siddharth, Secretaries Anupam Kumar and Kumar Ravi, BSEIDC MD Inayat Khan, Patna DM Dr. Tyagarajan S.M., senior officials, faculty members, and students of the institute.
It is noteworthy that the institute, established in 1973, currently offers 10 management and computer-related courses with over 1,600 enrolled students. To meet training requirements, the MDC has been set up with 26 rooms accommodating 52 persons, along with training halls and a dining hall. The project cost ₹4.99 crore.
Similarly, given the large number of girl students, an air-conditioned girls’ hostel has been built and upgraded at a cost of ₹4.99 crore. The hostel consists of two blocks with 40 rooms and 8 halls, providing accommodation for 168 students.
