CM Nitish Kumar today unveiled the foundation stone and inaugurated the elevated / at-grade road section from Bhupatipur to Punpun (NH-22) constructed at a cost of Rs. 1105 crore under the Mithapur-Mahuli-Punpun project at a function held at Bhupatipur in Patna district.
People will now be able to complete the journey on the elevated route from Sipara to Mahuli in a few minutes (5 to 6 minutes) through the ramp built near Bhupatipur. After the inauguration, CM Nitish inspected the newly constructed road from Bhupatipur to Punpun and interacted with the people of Punpun. Locals thanked the Chief Minister and said that with the construction of this road, commuting to Patna has now become easier and faster, and this is a big step towards the development of the region.
CM Nitish said that he has a deep connection with the region and has always given priority to its development. They keep visiting the area from time to time and try to know the problems of the public. He assured that he will continue to do whatever it takes for the development of the region and appealed to all to move forward together.
During the inspection,CM Nitish said that with the construction of this road, it will be easy to reach areas like Gaya, Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad and Rajgir. Along with this, transportation from different districts of South Bihar will also be facilitated. This elevated road will be helpful in reducing traffic congestion in Patna and improving the traffic system of the city. This will benefit lakhs of people in the southern part of the capital and save time.
On his way back, CM Nitish stopped near Sipara and enquired with the officials. He was informed that Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road will be constructed over Sipara bridge and it will be connected to Mithapur flyover Golambar. The Chief Minister directed that the remaining work be completed within the next two months.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh, UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh, BJP’s UP in-charge Radha Mohan Singh, national general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal and UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh were also present.
