CM Nitish Kumar today inaugurated new buildings of Block-cum-Zonal Office and Residential Complex constructed at a cost of Rs. 20.13 crore at Athmalgola in Patna district by cutting lace and unveiling a plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected various parts of the office building and took stock of the arrangements and facilities there. On this occasion, he handed over the keys of the newly constructed Jeevika Bhawan to the Jeevika Didis and appreciated their work and said that the government is taking full care of their facilities.
The office is three-storied and has accommodation for officers and staff. A solar panel of 50 kW capacity has been installed on the roof of the building which will save electricity.
Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new building of Government Other Backward Classes Girls Residential High School at Athmalgola constructed at a cost of Rs. 45.90 crore. He inspected the school building, administrative building, two hostels with 260-260 beds and accommodation for teachers and staff and took stock of the hostel arrangements. He said that playgrounds should also be constructed for the students so that their all-round development could take place.
Then the Chief Minister inaugurated the building of the Government Polytechnic Institute built at a cost of Rs. 72.79 crore in the flood and inspected various rooms and laboratories. He also interacted with the students and motivated them to study hard. The Chief Minister also planted a sapling here. The institute is four-storied and has a 150 KW solar power plant along with separate hostels for students.
Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new 100 bedded hospital building constructed at a cost of Rs. 24.70 crore in Barh itself and inspected the OPD, admission room and nursing room etc. He told the officials that the patients should get all the necessary facilities on time and without inconvenience. The hospital building is four-storied and has modern facilities like medical gas pipeline, fire safety system, lift and AC.
Finally, the Chief Minister inspected the Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur bridge being constructed near Bahadurpur. He asked the officials to expedite the construction works. This bridge will prove to be an important link in connecting North and South Bihar and will make commuting easier for the people.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Technical Education Minister Mr. Sumit Kumar Singh, Building Construction Minister Mr. Jayant Raj, Backward Classes Welfare Minister Mr. Hari Sahani and many MLAs, officials and public representatives.
