CM Nitish Kumar : 169 schemes were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid.
CM Nitish Kumar remotely inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 169 development schemes worth Rs. 345.50 crore in Kaimur district during the Pragati Yatra. These include foundation stone laying of 79 schemes worth Rs. 233.29 crore and inauguration of 90 schemes worth Rs. 112.20 crore.
Inaugurating the Panchayat Government Building constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.11 crore in Bharkhar Panchayat of Mohaniya block, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the library, revenue staff room, mukhiya room and other facilities. He also inaugurated a beautified pond, open gym, green park and community hall under MGNREGA.
CM Nitish Kumar directed to construct a stair ghat and walking path on the bank of the pond so that people get convenience. He visited Utkramit Secondary School, Bharkhar and took stock of the Science and Robotics Lab and interacted with the students.
Besides, he handed over cheques of Livelihood Fund of Rs. 7.86 crore, Bank Loan of Rs. 216.82 crore, Community Investment Fund of Rs. 19.76 crore, Bihar Student Credit Card, Udyami Yojana and assistance under other schemes to Jeevika Didis and beneficiaries of various schemes.
CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the renovation work of Agricultural Produce Market Complex of Mohania and inspected the facilities available for the farmers. He also saw an exhibition of new agricultural machinery and subsidy schemes put up by the Agriculture Department. During this, the artists presented a song based on the harm of stubble burning, which was appreciated by the Chief Minister.
CM Nitish Kumar inspected the construction site of the proposed degree college in Adhaura block. With the construction of this college, local students will not have to go to other places for higher education, which will benefit a population of about 50,000.
Besides, the Chief Minister remotely inaugurated and inspected the primary health centre and football stadium built under the Chief Minister’s Sports Development Scheme in Adhaura block. He took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients at the health centre and interacted with the players at the stadium. Presentations of other departmental schemes were also reviewed.
CM Nitish Kumar conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the proposed Son-Kohira river link scheme from the Karkatgarh eco-tourism zone and gave necessary directions to the officials. With the completion of this project, irrigation facilities will be developed in an area of 10,000 hectares in Chainpur, Chand and Bhagwanpur blocks, benefiting 4.5 lakh people.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan, Labour Minister Santosh Kumar Singh, many MLAs, former MPs, senior officials and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
