Addressing the review meeting, CM Nitish Kumar said, “I thank the District Magistrate of Munger for the information he has given. People’s representatives have also raised their concerns. He directed the officials to take appropriate action based on the requirements of the area. Announcements made during the Pragati Yatra are getting approval from the cabinet, and in the last few days, 188 schemes worth Rs 20 thousand crore were announced in the districts of North Bihar. Out of these, 121 schemes were approved by the Council of Ministers, while 67 schemes were approved at the department level. The Chief Minister expressed commitment to the overall development of Bihar and said that Pragati Yatra is aimed at furthering the prosperity of Bihar.

“We were informed about the problems and we have given instructions to work on them. We are working on all the issues. Development work has been done in every field, and you should remember this. We have worked for the development of all sections and regions, don’t forget that.
CM Nitish Kumar said that from November 24, 2005, he started working for the development of Bihar and since then continuously tried to take Bihar forward. Before 2005, the condition of Bihar was very bad; people were afraid to go out of their homes at night, there were fights on the basis of religion, there was no treatment in hospitals, roads were in shambles, and the level of education was also very poor. When the people of Bihar gave him a chance to work, the situation in Bihar has improved since then. Now the atmosphere of fear and panic has ended in Bihar and an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood has been created.
The Chief Minister also informed that the work of cordoning of graveyards was started since 2006, and so far more than 8,000 graveyards have been cordoned off. To prevent incidents of theft in temples, boundary walls of 60-year-old temples are being constructed. We have also received support from the central government in many development works.
He said that in 2006, the dress scheme for children was started in government schools, and from 2009, the cycle scheme for girls was started, after which the scheme for boys was also implemented from 2010. This made it easier for the girls to go to school and they started going to school on time.
CM Nitish Kumar also said that development work is going on in a big way in Bihar. Emphasis has been laid on the construction of education, health, roads, bridges, etc., due to which the people of Bihar are now able to reach Patna faster than before. He said that a large number of teachers have been reinstated in Bihar and efforts are being made to bring improvement in government schools. Madrasas have also been given government recognition and teachers there are being paid government salaries.

CM Nitish Kumar said that all the necessary work will be done, and if there is any more need in Munger district, it will also be fulfilled. Work is going on in every area of Bihar, and it will be done more rapidly in the future. Congratulations and thank you for everything. The Chief Minister also said that he respects the suggestions of the public representatives of any party, and all the demands of their areas will be met. He clarified that he does not discriminate against anyone, but works in the interest of all.
At the review meeting, District Magistrate Avnish Kumar Singh felicitated the Chief Minister and presented him a green sapling and a memento.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Union ministers Ram Vilas Paswan, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Nityanand Rai, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other top officials.
