CM Nitish Kumar made several important announcements in the review meeting today during the second phase of Pragati Yatra

During the second phase of Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish Kumar held a review meeting at Mithila Haat located at Araria Sangram in Jhanjharpur block regarding the ongoing development schemes in Madhubani district. In the review meeting, District Magistrate of Madhubani District, Mr. Arvind Kumar Verma gave detailed information through presentation of the development works of Madhubani district.During this period, Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, Chief Minister’s Nischay Self Help Scheme Allowance, Skilled Youth Program, Tap water in every house and its maintenance, paved lanes and drains to every house,

CM Nitish Kumar Rural Solar Street Light Scheme, irrigation water to every farm, construction of agricultural feeder, Chief Minister Agricultural Electricity Connection Scheme, Chief Minister Entrepreneur Scheme, encouragement to women for higher education, medical consultation through tele medicine in health sub-center,Detailed information was given to the Chief Minister regarding doorstep delivery of veterinary services and the updated status of construction of Panchayat Government Building. Apart from this, 10+2 schools in every Panchayat, formation of sports club to promote sports in Gram Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat, playground in every Panchayat,Chief Minister Gram Sampark Yojana (remaining), Chief Minister Gramin Setu Yojana, formation of self-help groups in urban and rural areas, transparency in revenue administration, mutation/revision/revision plus and public wells renovated under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali,The District Magistrate gave detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding the updated status of ponds and lakes. In the review meeting, public representatives also placed the problems of their respective areas before the Chief Minister. Addressing the review meeting While giving instructions to the officers, CM Nitish Kumar said that whatever problems have been raised by the public representatives in the meeting should be resolved as soon as possible. From 24 November 2005, the people of Bihar gave us a chance to work. Since then we have been continuously working for the development of Bihar. Development work is being done continuously for all areas and all sections. Before the year 2005, the condition of Bihar was very bad. People were afraid to go out of their homes after evening.There was no arrangement for treatment in hospitals, roads were dilapidated. The condition of education was not good. There were frequent reports of disputes between Hindus and Muslims.

CM Nitish Kumar said that since the people of Bihar gave us a chance to work, the situation of Bihar has changed. Development work is being done in every field. There has been no discrimination against anyone. Together, we are constantly taking Bihar forward.We started fencing graveyards from the year 2006. So far, work has been completed on more than 8 thousand graveyards, out of which 746 graveyards are almost complete and the remaining graveyards are being fenced. We noticed that incidents of idol theft from temples are taking place.In view of this, it was decided to build boundary walls around temples so that incidents of theft do not occur in temples. The Chief Minister said that we are carrying out development work in the entire Bihar. No area of ​​Bihar is untouched by development.We have done work on a large scale in the field of education, health, roads, bridges and culverts, due to which earlier people from any corner of Bihar used to reach Patna in 6 hours, now it has been reduced to 5 hours. Every kind of work is being done for this.

CM Nitish Kumar said that a uniform scheme was started for children studying in government schools in the year 2006. A bicycle scheme for girls was started in the year 2009. Efforts have been made to bring about improvements in the field of education by recruiting employed teachers on a large scale and constructing school buildings.A large number of government teachers are being reinstated. Employed teachers are being given government recognition through examination.Earlier, very few girls used to go to school. When girls were given bicycles, they started going to school on time and also took their parents to the market in the evening, this scene looks very good.

CM Nitish Kumar said that earlier only 39 patients used to come to the Primary Health Centre in a month for treatment. Now on an average more than 11 thousand patients are coming for treatment in a month. Earlier there were only 6 government medical colleges in Bihar. Now their number has increased to 12. Medical colleges are being opened in all the districts. PMCH is being made a world class hospital with 5400 beds.IGIMS is also being expanded. There will be a facility of 3000 beds here. Basic facilities like tap water in every house, construction of paved streets and drains in every house, toilet in every house, electricity connection to every house have been provided to the people.

CM Nitish Kumar said that 50 percent reservation was given to women in Panchayati Raj institutions and municipal bodies, under which 4 elections have been held so far. A large number of women have been elected. We have worked in every way for the upliftment of women. In 2013, 35 percent reservation was given to women in police recruitment, as a result of which the participation of women in Bihar Police Force has increased significantly. From 2016, we have given 35 percent reservation to women in all government jobs. Earlier the number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less.We started increasing the number of self-help groups by taking a loan from the World Bank in 2006. Now the number of self-help groups in Bihar has increased to 10 lakh 61 thousand, with 1 crore 31 lakh Jeevika didis associated with them.Jeevika didis have gained a lot of confidence, they express their views in a good manner. There has been a lot of change in their lifestyle and living habits.We have given the name Jeevika Didi to the women associated with self-help groups, inspired by which the central government of that time also adopted it and named it Ajeevika.Our work has an impact on the entire country. In Bihar, self-help groups have now been formed in urban areas as well, in which 26 thousand Jeevika didis have joined so far.

CM Nitish Kumar said that we had set a target of giving government jobs to 10 lakh people, which has been increased to 12 lakh. So far, 9 lakh people have been given government jobs. Apart from this, a target of providing employment to 10 lakh people was set. Till now, employment has been provided to 24 lakh people. In the year 2025, 12 lakh people will be provided government jobs and 34 lakh people will be provided employment.We have worked for the upliftment of all sections. Madrasas have been given government recognition. We conducted caste-based census in Bihar in which 94 lakh poor families have been identified, who belong to every caste. Such poor families are being given financial help of Rs 2 lakh per family so that they can earn their livelihood.

CM Nitish Kumar said that many development works have been done in Madhubani district. Engineering College, Polytechnic Institute, Women’s ITI, ITI in all subdivisions, GNM Institute, Para Medical Institute, Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Hostel have been constructed here. A medical college is being built in Madhubani at a cost of Rs 515 crore. Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan Museum has been constructed in Saurath. We had announced this during the Seva Yatra in 2012. Training in Madhubani painting is given in this institute. Mithila Haat was inaugurated in Araria Sangram in the year 2023. Roads and bridges have been constructed in Madhubani district. Along with this, flood relief work has been done76 Panchayat Government buildings have been constructed. The District Magistrate should get all the Panchayat Government buildings in this district constructed soon. We named them Panchayat Government Buildings to honour the Panchayats. 7 power grids were constructed here. 41 power sub-stations were built.51 agricultural feeders were constructed. Electricity connections are being given to interested farmers. Apart from all these works for Madhubani district, work will be done on other works regarding which suggestions will be received.

CM Nitish Kumar said that we had mistakenly moved from one place to another twice. Our relationship is from the year 1995. We were ministers at the Centre in the government of respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. He respected me a lot. He made me the Chief Minister of Bihar. We all will work together for the development of Bihar and take Bihar forward.
