The Chief Minister said that in the course of the Pragati Yatra, we take information about the development works in the districts we are visiting, as well as take stock of it at the ground level. In the last cabinet meeting, the first announcements made during the Pragati Yatra have been approved. Since November 24, 2005, the people of Bihar have given us an opportunity to work. At that time, Sehmal is constantly working for the development of Bihar. Development work is being done for all sections and regions. Before 2005, the situation in Bihar was very bad. People were afraid to go out of their houses. There were no roads, no hospitals. Education wasn’t good enough. There were clashes between Hindus and Muslims.

“Our relationship with the BJP dates back to 1995.” He was a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. They believed in me. He made me the Chief Minister of Bihar. We will work together for the development of Bihar. When the people of Bihar gave us the opportunity to work, the situation in Bihar has changed. Development work is being done in every sector. There has been no discrimination against anyone. Together we are taking Bihar forward. Since 2006, we have started cordoning off graveyards. So far, more than 8 thousand cemeteries have been fenced and 1247 cemeteries have been identified out of which 746 cemeteries are almost complete and remaining cemeteries are being fenced. We have seen incidents of idol theft from temples. In view of this, it was decided to construct boundary walls of the temples so that incidents of theft do not occur in the temples. “We are working for the development of Bihar. No area of Bihar is untouched by development. We have done the work of education, health, roads, bridges and culverts on a large scale due to which people used to reach Patna in 6 hours from any corner of Bihar, now it has been reduced to 5 hours. All kinds of work are being done for this.

We have also given the name of Jeevika Didi to the women associated with the self-help group, inspired by which the then central government also adopted it and gave them livelihood. Our work has an impact on the entire country. In Bihar, now the formation of self-help groups has also been started in urban areas.
