CM Nitish Kumar gave a gift of Rs 276 crore 80 lakh to Vaishali district during the Pragati Yatra today. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 344 developmental schemes through remoteThis includes the inauguration of 118 schemes at a cost of Rs 113 crore 37 lakh and the foundation stone laying of 226 schemes at a cost of Rs 163 crore 43 lakh.
During the Pragati Yatra,CM Nitish Kumar inspected the pond beautified under the Water-Life-Greenery Campaign in Nagwan Gram Panchayat located in Patedi Belsar Block of Vaishali district and released fish seeds in the pond. During this, the Chief Minister said that this pond has been built in a very good manner. Under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, we are renovating and beautifying public wells, ponds, ponds etc. in the whole of Bihar.Water is essential for life. It is the duty of every person to conserve water. 11 water reservoirs constructed under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan in Vaishali district were allotted free of cost to livelihood-supported village organizations for the next five years.Also, for the maintenance of these water reservoirs, the Chief Minister provided the approval letter of initial amount of Rs. 31 lakh 50 thousand to the concerned village organizations and the key of Jeevika Poshan e-rickshaw to the Jeevika sisters.
CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of developmental schemes related to Vaishali district through remote.The Chief Minister inaugurated the Adarsh Pustakalaya-cum-Career Development Center in village Nagwan of Patedhi Belsar block by unveiling the plaque. After the inauguration, he inspected the newly built Adarsh Pustakalaya and enquired about the available facilities.The Chief Minister gave the keys of the Adarsh Library cum Career Development Center to the Jeevika sisters. The Jeevika sisters presented a welcome song on the arrival of the Chief Minister.The Chief Minister visited the exhibition organized by Jeevika Didi’s and various departments in the premises of Government Middle School, NagwanDuring the inspection, the Chief Minister presented a symbolic cheque of Rs. 135 crore to 11 thousand 160 self-help groups, a symbolic cheque of Rs. 4 crore 50 lakh to 1253 beneficiaries associated with Sustainable Livelihood Scheme and the acceptance letter of Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme to the beneficiaries.
During the Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish Kumar participated in a dialogue program with Jeevika sisters. Jeevika sisters welcomed the Chief Minister and informed him about their experiences and problems in the dialogue program.The Chief Minister said that whatever problems and requirements you have will be fulfilled. Jeevika didis are doing very good work in the whole of Bihar. We gave the name Jeevika Didi to the women associated with self-help groups, don’t forget this. Inspired by this, the central government of that time named it Ajeevika Didi across the country. Through Pragati Yatra, we go to different places and talk to Jeevika Didis.
In the year 2006, we increased the number of self-help groups in Bihar by taking a loan from the World Bank, as a result of which today the number of self-help groups in Bihar has increased to more than 10 lakhs, with 1 crore 31 lakh women associated with them. We have now started linking women to self-help groups in urban areas as well. The status of women has changed a lot by joining self-help groups. Women joining self-help groups are also given training. Earlier women did not step out of their homes. Now they are doing their business fearlessly. They have also started talking to people properly. I am very happy to see this.
While talking to journalists, CM Nitish Kumar said that earlier the number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less. When I was a minister in the central government, I had to go to many places and see the self-help groups thereWhen we got the opportunity to work in Bihar, we started Jeevika groups on a large scale in Bihar from the year 2006. Seeing this, the central government of that time started a scheme named ‘Ajeevika’ across the country. Women have gained a lot of self-confidence by joining the Jeevika group. Jeevika didis now present their views in a very good manner. It feels very good to see this. Wherever we go, we definitely meet Jeevika didis. A large number of women in Bihar are associated with Jeevika groups. 1 crore 31 lakh women are associated with Jeevika groups. Now Jeevika groups are being formed in urban areas as well. In response to a question on political rhetoric in Bihar, the Chief Minister said that we have nothing to do with it.We have been working since the beginning. People of our party made a mistake twice, now this will not happen again. We are working together. Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji made me the Chief Minister. He respected me a lot. He wanted me to become the Chief Minister of Bihar.।
During the Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish Kumar visited Nagwan village and listened to the problems of the people and directed the officials to resolve them immediately. During this, the Chief Minister distributed the keys of tricycles among the handicapped and also planted saplings near the pond. He visited the stalls set up by Jeevika Didis near the pond related to water hyacinth products, Tikuli and Madhubani painting.
After this, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the Vaya River from Mauna Bridge in view of the problem of silt in the Vaya River. During the inspection, the officials of the Water Resources Department informed the Chief Minister about the flow area of the Vaya River and its current status through the map.While giving instructions to the officers, the Chief Minister said that to solve the problem of silt in the Vaya river, get it dredged. Raise the dam on both sides of this river and strengthen it so that water can flow properly in the river.
After this,CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Government Industrial Training Institute, Mahnar by unveiling the plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed Government Industrial Training Institute and visited the dispensary, Principal’s room, IMC Chairman’s room,The Deputy Principal inspected the room and took information from the officials about the facilities provided to the students and the hostel. The Chief Minister also planted a sapling in the ITI premises.Local people greeted the Chief Minister by presenting him flowers. Developmental works related to Mahanar subdivision were inaugurated and foundation stone was laid through remote in the ITI premises.
