CM Nitish Kumar launched the ‘Mahila Samvad’ programme through video conferencing at ‘Sankalp’ at Ek Aney Marg today. He also released a letter addressed to all mothers, sisters and daughters. Under this programme, women will be informed about the schemes and works implemented by the government related to women empowerment. At the same time, women will also get an opportunity to identify and prioritise the problems and aspirations of their village or taluks. These problems will be addressed expeditiously at various levels and based on the inputs received, the aspirations of women will be better incorporated in the schemes and policies of the government.
CM Nitish Kumar flagged off women communication awareness vehicles for all the districts. Branding has been done all around on these vehicles, which will draw the attention of the people towards the work done by the government for the welfare of women while organizing programs in villages or moving from one village to another.
It may be recalled that during the Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish Kumar had directed that senior officers should be sent to all the villages of the district to know the status of the schemes and the solutions to the problems. In organizing the Mahila Samvad, senior officers will discuss and address the problems of the community.
The Mahila Samvad program will be organized in all the villages of the state, which will be held in about 70 thousand places and more than 2 crore women will participate in it. In this program, women will be informed about the welfare work done by the state government and awareness will be spread about the schemes. For this, video films will be shown on large TV screens in awareness vehicles.
The suggestions and expectations received in the programme will be compiled and sent to the concerned departments and district authorities so that necessary decisions can be taken. Lokesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Rural Development Department, welcomed the Chief Minister.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Mr. Shravan Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Mr. Amrit Lal Meena, Development Commissioner Mr. Pratyaya Amrit, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar and other senior officers. District Magistrates of all districts were also connected through video conferencing.
