Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inspected the newly constructed Simaria Ghat in Begusarai district. During this time, the Chief Minister prepared for the Chhath Mahaparv.
The sixth ghat was inspected. During the review, the Chief Minister directed the officials to make all kinds of arrangements keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the Chhath devotees. Keeping in mind the number of devotees coming to the Chhath ghats, all kinds of basic facilities should be provided. Adequate lighting arrangements should be made at the Chhath ghats and on the routes so that devotees can travel to the ghats conveniently. He said that Simaria Dham has become very good. All facilities are being provided to the visitors. We come here to watch.
The Chief Minister also inspected the newly constructed Dharamshala at Simaria Dham and took stock of the arrangements there. The Chief Minister also toured the Rajkiya Kalpavas Mela area and met the saints and seers present there.
The Chief Minister took stock of the progress of the construction work of the six-lane road-bridge parallel to the Rajendra Setu and directed the officials to complete the construction work expeditiously.
Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Sports Minister Surendra Mehta, MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, MLA Ramratan Singh, MLA Rajkumar Singh, MLA Kundan Kumar, Principal Secretary Water Resources Santosh Kumar Mall, Secretary to Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Begusarai, Vikas Kumar, District Collector Tushar Singla, Superintendent of Police, Begusarai and other senior officers.
