CM Nitish Kumar today unveiled and laid the foundation stone of Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Bihar Gaurav Udyan (Waste-to-Wonder Theme Park) at a cost of Rs. 14.98 crore. The Chief Minister paid floral tributes at the samadhi of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, former President of India.
During the laying of the foundation stone, CM Nitish Kumar said that the ‘Waste to Wonder’ theme park near the samadhi of the first President of India, Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad should be constructed in a better way. The construction of this park will greatly benefit the people of this region. On one side of this theme park is the Samadhi Sthal of Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad ji, on the other side is located J.P. Ganga Path, the view here will be very pleasant.
It is to be noted that the Urban Development and Housing Department has approved the construction of ‘Waste to Wonder’ theme park in 10 acres of land between the samadhi sthal of the country’s first President Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad and J.P. Ganga Path at a cost of Rs. 14.98 crore. The park will showcase various elements of the glorious history and culture of Bihar.
In the theme park, inspirational stories of great personalities of Bihar Aryabhatta, Chanakya, Emperor Ashoka, Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan and Dashrath Manjhi will be quoted. The park will showcase Bihar’s architectural marvels like Nalanda, Vikramshila, religious stupas, temples and tombs. A food court and a playground will also be set up. Apart from this, a grand memorial complex will also be constructed in the memory of the first President of the country, Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad at his present memorial site.

During the programme, a video film on the construction of ‘Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Bihar Gaurav Udyan’ (Waste to Wonder Theme Park) was presented to the Chief Minister.
