CM Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the link road from Patna Sahib railway station to Patna Ghat under the JP Ganga Path project. On this occasion, he also visited the Community Hall near Patna Ghat, Patna Sahib Railway Station and near Guru Gobind Singh Link Path on Patna-Bakhtiyarpur Forlane. The officials gave him detailed information about the proposed route and its features.
During the inspection, CM Nitish Kumar directed the officials that the construction work should be completed within the stipulated time frame. He said that this approach road will further strengthen the road network of Patna city, which will facilitate the movement of public and will also increase the utility of JP Ganga Path.
This road is being constructed by Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited at a cost of Rs. 52.54 crore. The 1.5 -kilometre long route will start from Patna Sahib railway station and connect to JP Ganga Path via Patna Ghat. The project includes modern facilities like flyover on Ashok Rajpath, two-lane service roads on both sides, street lighting and road marking.
The completion of this project will ease the congestion problem in Ashok Rajpath and Maroofganj Mandi area and provide better connectivity to NH-30 (Patna-Bakhtiyarpur road). The project is scheduled to be completed by March 2026.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, state BJP chief Jitu Vaghani and other senior party leaders were also present at the ceremony.
