CM Nitish Kumar attended the Duaia Majlis programme held at Maulana Mazharul Haq Auditorium of Haj Bhavan before the departure of Haj pilgrims. Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Zama Khan and Bihar State Haj Committee Chairman Abdul Haq presented bouquets, caps and angavastras to the Chief Minister.
Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said that he welcomes and congratulates all on this occasion. He informed that every year Duaiyya Majlis is organized before the departure of Haj pilgrims. He wished the Haj pilgrims success in their journey and said that he himself had gone to Mecca-Medina and the happiness there is always remembered. CM Nitish Kumar also said that the state government has made all necessary arrangements for the convenience of Haj pilgrims.
Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Zama Khan and Bihar State Haj Committee Chairman Abdul Haq also spoke on the occasion. Hazrat Maulana Syed Shamim Munami, Sajjadanashin of Khanqah Munimia Mitnaghat, offered Ijtamai Du’a in the Majlis and prayed especially for peace and brotherhood in Bihar and India.
This year a total of 2403 Haj pilgrims are going to Haj from Bihar which includes 1391 male and 1012 female Haj pilgrims. These pilgrims will depart from 10 airports of the country. The state government has made all necessary arrangements for the Haj pilgrimage, including training of Haj pilgrims, free vaccination and proper arrangements for facilities during the Haj pilgrimage.
Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, MLA Mohammad Khalid Anwar, members of Bihar State Haj Committee and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
