CM Nitish Kumar today inspected the landscaping, plantation and beautification works being carried out at JP Gangapath. He said that the plantation will make the area more green and attractive. He described JP Gangapath as a great project and stressed on its beautification in a better way. At the same time, he also said that it is necessary to ensure safe traffic and uninterrupted movement of people on this route.
After this, the Chief Minister reached Gaighat, where he took stock of the construction work of the down ramp being built on the river bank. He said that this ramp is being constructed keeping in mind the safety and better handling of traffic on JP Gangapath. At present, there is a U-turn system here, which will end after this ramp is built. He directed that this work should be completed soon so that people get the facility to connect to JP Gangapath directly and safely. He also said that the plan to connect the Mahatma Gandhi Setu and the new four-lane bridge near it with JP Gangapath should also be implemented in a better way.
Later, the Chief Minister inspected the under-construction Kachi Dargah-Bidupur six-lane bridge. He instructed them to expedite the work. The Chief Minister informed that the JP Gangapath has been completed up to Didarganj and now direct connectivity between North and South Bihar is being ensured through this new bridge. With its completion, there will be relief from the congestion in Patna and a direct route will be available from outside the city to go to different parts of North Bihar. At the same time, the people of the eastern areas of Patna will also get great convenience in transportation.
